Our terrible experience began at check in. The people at the front desk were rude and completely inept. They clearly lacked training and had trouble operating their reservation system. The room was small (we had booked a superior room) but the shower was a disaster. It was a hand held shower without a hook to hang it by! We therefore, had to hold the shower with one hand the whole time. Who designs a shower like that?! When we called the front desk they basically said there’s no other option. Horrible customer service. Drinks at the bar weren’t any better. We waited a good 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Ein beeindruckendes, historisches Grand Hotel in erstklassiger Lage zur Innenstadt. ||Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. |Es wird ein Parkservice angeboten. ||Der kleine Innenhof mit dem hübschen Brunnen ist hervorragend gestaltet. ||Der Frühstücksraum ist einladend und das Frühstück selbst hat eine sehr hohe Qualität. ||Dieses Hotel kann ich ohne Vorbehalte empfehlen.

perfecte locatie om de knappe stad Dijon te bezoeken, knap hotel met hele mooie kamers, heel aangename receptie en perfecte parking, heel verzorgd ontbijt, alleen het diner viel tegen, ondanks de vele boekjes met publiciteit over de "chef étoilé" kan de keuken niets lekker leveren, echt niet om te genieten ! beter een ander restaurant opzoeken , wat zonde is van de mooie locatie , slechte punten voor ALL

Took long for someone to help with thr luggage en parc the car. And a lot of trouble to charge our car. Bad room service. Not that mich to order after 22:00 and took to long.

And nothing open for food during 14:00-17:00

La Cloche is a beautiful Grand Hotel with very friendly staff , good restaurant and beautiful garden.

We stayed here as it was the only 5 star place in Dijon.|The room was small but comfortable. Good air con. Bathroom ok.|No one around when we turned up for valet parking. Better when we left tho!|Big problem is the lack of room service outside the lunch and dinner service. Strange. It’s a big hotel to be doing “no food” for 5 hours a day. The outside bar was difficult to get service in, due to a lack of attentiveness of staff. In fact we waited, then left. |It was ok, but nothing to write home about.

Our room was fabulous. Our loft area for sleeping added the perfect ambiance to a beautiful room. Our bathroom was tastefully done with a soaking tub. The shower was huge with a rain showerhead and beautiful tile. There was plenty of room especially if traveling with family.
The area was perfect for getting around Dijon by foot, train, or trolley. The only downside was breakfast,

Sehr nettes Personal beim Check In und auch beim Frühstück. Das Zimmer ist ok allerdings ist das Bad schon sehr klein. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Auch de Café ist Top. Allerdings müsste man an einigen Stellen dringend Renovieren.

Nous avons séjourné à l’hôtel La Cloche pendant trois nuits et globalement, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre expérience. Cependant, il est important de souligner un point très décevant dès notre arrivée.

Jeudi matin, entre 10h et 11h, nous avons été très mal accueillis par la personne présente à la réception. Aucun mot de bienvenue, ni un simple "comment s’est passé votre voyage ?" ou "souhaitez-vous que je vous explique le fonctionnement de l’hôtel". Elle ne nous a donné aucune information utile : ni sur les horaires du petit-déjeuner, ni sur l’accès au spa, ni sur les services disponibles. Nous ne l’avons plus revue du séjour, et c’est peut-être mieux ainsi, car cette première impression n’était vraiment pas à la hauteur d’un 5 étoiles.

Lorsque nous avons découvert notre première chambre (la 420), une forte odeur désagréable nous a immédiatement dérangés. Nous sommes retournés à la réception pour nous en plaindre. Elle nous a demandé d’attendre qu’elle "fasse le nécessaire", mais sans aucun geste d’attention : un simple verre offert au bar pendant l’attente aurait été apprécié, surtout au vu du prix de notre séjour. Heureusement, nous avons ensuite été relogés dans une chambre au 5e étage, parfaitement conforme à notre réservation et très agréable.

Le reste du personnel a été exemplaire tout au long de notre séjour : chaleureux, professionnel, attentif. Mention spéciale au service voiturier, vraiment irréprochable.

En revanche, nous avons été très surpris par la politique d’accès au spa. Pour un séjour de 3 nuits, nous n’avions droit qu’à un seul accès de 45 minutes, exactement comme un client qui ne reste qu’une seule nuit. Cela n’est pas logique du tout et devrait clairement être revu. Heureusement, une dame très compréhensive à la réception a accepté de nous accorder d'autres accès, ce qui a un peu compensé notre frustration.

On nous a expliqué que le spa est petit et limité à 6 personnes simultanément. C’est compréhensible, mais dans ce cas, un hôtel de cette catégorie devrait avoir un spa plus grand, mieux dimensionné par rapport à sa capacité d’accueil. Réduire l’accès des clients à cause d’un espace trop exigu ne semble pas en adéquation avec les standards attendus pour un établissement 5 étoiles.

Situé en plein centre-ville, excellent hôtel, avons été bien accueilli et avons bon renseignements sur Dijon|Très grande chambre au design de chaînes supérieures, calme malgré une situation sur rue|Avec de nombreuses attentions|seul bémol, terrasse cours avec bar, de grands arbres « pleurent » sur le mobilier de jardin…|Buffet déjeuner très variés et très bons :)|à faire sans hésitation, prix supérieur en conséquence

Degelijk en zeer goed hotel in het centrum van Dijon, de prijzen zijn wel stevig geworden, sinds het aantreden van een chef kok étoilé in de keuken is het eten niet meer te genieten, slecht geprepareerd en vettig, niet aan te bevelen, rest van de service is prima : de kamers en het ontbijt

From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. We had an outstanding authentic French dinner there. The breakfast spread was extensive and fresh. Even though our room faced the town Square, it was quiet. The location was convenient to walk to many attractions. My only negative was no TV stations with English.

Très bel hôtel idéalement situé près du centre ville et près d'un très beau square où promener les toutous. Les chambres sont spacieuses et joliement décorées. La douche est au top. Service et propreté de très bon niveau. Accueil chaleureux. Très bon petit déjeuner sous une magnifique verrière face au beau jardin paysager. Nous y avons dîné un soir et c'était délicieux. Le bar est très grand, confortable et très beau, idéal pour y prendre un verre et se détendre. Le Grand Hôtel de la Cloche mérite ses cinq étoiles. Je recommande.

Superbe lieu, on a été traités comme des rois mais sans que cela soit obséquieux. Belles chambres et équipements (dont salle de sport sur deux étages), et mamma mia le petit déjeuner comme on n’en fait plus qui vaut franchement son prix. Merci pour votre accueil et votre possibilité de partenariat avec Staycation qui offre encore plus d’extras en hors saison ????

While the hotel is located in a wonderful part of Dijon. And the breakfast service is the best we've EVER enjoyed. There were a couple of details that I'd like to bring to management's attention.
1- On the weekend room service was not very good. A simple request of ice, glasses, and 'salty snack's, were not processed. Both when we called Room Service directly (what we required was not available through the online ordering portal), or when we asked the Front Desk for assistance. Remarkedly bad.
2- Since part of our stay was over the weekend and we required laundry service, which is not provided on the weekend, we had to turn our bathroom into a makeshift laundry processing site. A hotel which promotes itself as a 'higher end' facility should surely provide for this service for its visitors. Unbelievable.
3. While Room 104 was a nice room, I had some odd design features, which made our stay less than ideal. I'm an architect, so I have some familiarity with these issues. The decor was lovely. But the arrangement of storage cabinets meant was not good. As frequent travelers we need places to unpack our luggage which are convenient, easy to reach, and well organized. This was not the case with Room 104. And while the seperation of the toilet and the bath/shower/sink can be good design, there was very little places to unpack our toiletries, and personal items. The door between the bedroom and bathroom, which also served as a closet door, made for an odd and cumbersome relationship. Basic functionality for travelers was sacrificed to make a 'design/decor' statement.

Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Altstadt, ist aber leicht anfahrbar. Eine ausreichende Anzahl von Stellplätzen ist vorhanden.
Das Superiorzimmer ist ausreichend groß, etwas dunkel. Bei dem "Balkon " handelte es sich um einen nur etwa einen Fuß breiten Austritt, war also nicht zum Aufenthalt geeignet.
Das Bett war groß und komfortabel mit mittelharter Matratze. Das Badezimmer hatte ein Fenster zum Zimmer, das jedoch mit einem Vorhang geschlossen werden konnte. Die Toilette liegt in einem kleinen, separaten Raum.
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut und mit großer Auswahl.
Der Hauptzugang zum Hotel erfolgt über mehrere steile Stufen. Rollstuhlfahrer könnten vom im Blockinneren gelegenen Parkplatz über den Innenhof in das Hotel gelangen - aber welcher Ortsunkundige weiß das schon?

Superbe chambre en surclassement, comme d’habitude. Confortable et silencieuse. Personnel aimable et à l’écoute. Petit déjeuner buffet délicieux avec de nombreuses surprises originales. Et mention spéciale pour le responsable du petit déjeuner qui fait attention à tout et à tous.

Our first trip to Dijon. Hotel is in a great location. Staff are very good, especially Isaac at the front desk manager!

It’s a historic property so some of the rooms are quirky, and the hotel could benefit from new flooring. The bar is great. The garden is lovely.

Fitness room is odd layout. Spa (€15 per person for an hour - book ahead because they limit to 6 ppl at a time) was pleasant tho small.

Only 7 min walk from train station and steps from the historic center and park.

Great location for walking the old town. Loved the Owl Trail! Did not use the spa as it was never available. We stayed 5 nights and did not ever have our room really cleaned even though they made it appear so but the coffee stain on my sheet was there every day. Staff was professional but not what I would say is friendly and help with luggage in a 5 star hotel is expected, but not available at this hotel. For me, it’s the small things that make a property special and that is sadly missing here. The windows in the room where the levers fell off if opening, no concierge services, ability to make spa appointments through the front desk, replenishment of water, etc. We arrived a few days before a holiday and we were not aware that the city would be mostly shutdown for food service. The GM should have made the guests aware of this in advance and offered to make them reservations at the hotel’s restaurant. We were disappointed and hungry and finally found something to eat that was less than satisfactory. I loved the city and the park across from the hotel so it gets high marks. But, it needs to be so much better for the price and to receive a 5 star rating.

We were unfortunate enough to stay at this hotel for 1 night. The hotel is in the best location possible and and is a very, very good property. the best thing about it, however, is the people. From check-in onwards, all we were exposed to were staff looking to enhance our stay in any way possible. Cannot recommend this hotel enough
