We stayed at Le Temps Retrouvé for four nights and absolutely loved it! Frederic and Jozsef were such kind and thoughtful hosts. Always ready to help, with a wonderful list of local tips and restaurant recommendations.||The house itself is so beautiful, with a peaceful garden, a lovely pool, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s just a few minutes’ walk to the town centre, where you’ll find plenty of great places to eat.||Breakfast was a daily treat, always fresh and different, with delicious local cheeses, meats, and other goodies. And their sweet dog Olia made it feel even more like home.||We already look forward to coming back one day. Staying here really made our Dordogne trip - it turned a great holiday into something truly memorable.

The house itself is so beautiful, with a peaceful garden, a lovely pool, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s just a few minutes’ walk to the town centre, where you’ll find plenty of great places to eat.

Breakfast was a daily treat, always fresh and different, with delicious local cheeses, meats, and other goodies. And their sweet dog Olia made it feel even more like home.

We already look forward to coming back one day. Staying here really made our Dordogne trip - it turned a great holiday into something truly memorable.

En Juin 2025 nous avons passé une semaine dans la demeure de Frédéric et Jozsef "Le Temps retrouvé". La belle demeure se situe dans un grand parc avec des arbres centenaires. Elle possède beaucoup de charme et est aménagée avec goût. On peut profiter au rez-de-chaussée d'un très beau salon. Les chambres spacieuses sont d'une propreté irréprochable. Des liseuses et un coffre-fort dans chaque chambre sont à la disposition des occupants. Malgré les températures élevées à l'extérieur le thermomètre ne dépassait pas 22 degrés dans la maison, ce qui était très agréable. En haut du parc se trouve une piscine avec des transats, une douche et des parasols. Frédéric apporte gentiment une eau citronnée bien fraîche aux personnes profitant de la piscine. Les serviettes de bain sont fournies. Le petit déjeuner est servi dans la véranda qui donne sur le parc. On a le choix entre un petit déjeuner sucré ou salé. Tout est d'une grande qualité.|Frédéric et Jozsef sont des hôtes très accueuillants, attentifs, sympathiques et toujours prêts à rendre service. Ils nous ont donné beaucoup de conseils concernant les restaurants de la ville et les visites à faire.|Nous ne pouvons que recommander cette splendide demeure pour passer un super séjour dans la ville de Sarlat et ses environs.

We recently spent 6 memorable nights at Le Temps Retrouve. Frederic and Josef are exceptional hosts. They take the time to familiarize themselves with their guests and their interests and go more than the extra mile to please. Breakfast will spoil you. It’s served with fresh bread, fruit and a variety of jams in a bright glass-enclosed room at the time of your choice. We’ve stayed at many inns in the US and Europe and Le Temps Retrouve is unparalleled in hospitality, ambiance and overall excellence.

We just spent 2 days at Le Temps Retrouvé as part of a two week holiday in France. The house is beautifully decorated throughout in art deco style with perfect attention to detail. The property is set in its own grounds and provides private and secure parking. We were greeted with a warm welcome on our arrival and the same attention to detail was applied to service for the duration of our stay. Frederic & Jozsef are fantastic hosts and great ambassadors for Sarlat and the Dordogne region. We would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting the Dordogne region. Our only disappointment was that we hadn’t booked a longer stay. There is so much to see and do in this area we will definitely be returning.
