The restaurant came with good recommendations as well as being a member of the Bouillabaisse league as I understand it.
I managed to make a reservation by phone (not always easy in France) and walked from the old port (there is also parking right opposite the restaurant if you need it).
The restaurant was quite full. They have day formulas and chef suggestions but I got the famous Marseille fish soup. It came first as a soup with croutons and rouille mayo, followed by soup with 5 fishes (I was also asked duly for seconds which I agreed to). Dessert was a big chocolate dish or a lighter Pavlova (i got it) (cheese is also possible). The wine carte is not long but has all the nice local offerings as well as good Bourgogne. To finish this off, I got a local marc (grape distillate) which is quite hard to come by but appreciated by connoisseurs.
I was told they do home delivery Bouillabaisse (full set to do it at home or office) and also have space for larger companies. Outside seating available.
The lady of the house who was taking my orders was quite friendly. What I always flag in France is that her partner maître d spoke very good English which is always a great treat in France. I shall definitely return and recommend this.
Definitely a place that deserves exposure. We will be back!

Le thon Rossini, commandé à la carte, était une surprise originale et déconcertante tant le mélange des saveurs était bien étudié !
Les desserts n'avaient rien à envier au reste des plats. Je préfère ne pas les décrire pour vous en laisser la surprise ! Locaux ou de passage, n'hésitez pas à réserver dans ce restaurant qui mérite vraiment le détour. Une petite mention spéciale pour le jeune apprenti serveur qui a été parfait.
