Nous avons visité le quartier avec un guide ce samedi matin : un homme nu dormait devant la porte de l'église, un gros rat a longé la façade, se nourrissant des nombreux restes de sandwichs parmi les herbes folles....
Quel dommage que ce quartier doit totalement à l'abandon ! La mairie de Bordeaux devrait s'occuper un peu de cette zone.

Volgens mij is hij gesloten... of er is wel erg veel achterstallig onderhoud.
Het gebouw is prachtig! Al werd het nu bewaakt door een homeless...
Voor het gebouw waren ze archeologisch bezig, er was een Geraamte ontdekt, waarschijnlijk uit de 16e eeuw en wellicht is het een kerkhof....

We walked by several times and the place was closed. But this time the doors are open we had the opportunity to go inside and see the interior of the church. It’s built in the 1700s and was renovated a few times. It has a statue of St. George on the façade and upper left side.

If you are a church fan, this would be a place to come with me however there’s no sign in the door let you know when the doors are open.

This one is a lot construction going on just on the outside so it makes it a little bit not so sexy there. There’s a little square nearby couple restaurants you can have a drink a little snack or two enjoy yourself.

Preciosa y gigantesca iglesia de estilo románico. La fachada principal es una maravilla, tanto arquitectónica como artística. Una pena que no lo pudiera visitar por dentro. Pero merece la pena disfrutar de su exterior si no es posible entrar en la iglesia

This is one of the two most impressive churches in Bordeaux. I like the way that the building is preserved with layers of time kept on the facades, creating a sense of a unique and attractive church in its own way. Unfortunately, when I visited, the square in front of the church was fenced for archaeology, and the church was not open, so I couldn't experience the space inside.

He estado en abril 2025. Está la plaza en obras y es muy interesante para los que amamos el románico. Pero está cerrada a diario. SOLO ABREN los viernes y los domingos.

Magnifique église, façade sculptées impressionnante, intérieur majestueux, malheureusement la guerre a détruit ses vitraux, et ceux des années 60 me semble assez moches, mais c'est un goût personnel, la place est en restauration, tout le quartier en aurait besoin

L’église Sainte-Croix de Bordeaux est un édifice religieux au charme singulier, situé dans le quartier Saint-Michel. De style roman avec des influences gothiques, elle se distingue par sa façade sculptée richement ornée et son intérieur sobre mais élégant. Ancienne abbaye bénédictine, elle possède une histoire marquée par diverses transformations au fil des siècles. Son atmosphère paisible en fait un lieu propice à la contemplation, contrastant avec l’animation des environs. Bien que moins connue que la cathédrale Saint-André, elle mérite une visite pour son architecture et son orgue remarquable. Certains regrettent toutefois un entretien inégal et un manque de mise en valeur de son patrimoine.

Attention, très rarement ouverte, seulement tous les 1er dimanche du mois(jusqu'à 17/18h)
Et tous les vendredi de 14 à 16h!!!

Preciosa iglesia románica con una fachada magnífica, San Jorge incluido. Personal muy amable y atento que nos dejaron pasar aunque aún no era la hora de obertura. Totalmente gratuita
