Full external renovation nearly complete The facade showing in the picture is a cloth reproduction.
Interior is brilliantly decorated bringing history to light.
If you are interested in Hot Air Balloons there is a dedicated Museum too.

Much more interesting than we expected- the chateau is being refurbished and is covered in scaffolding, however we had a great tour inside. You get an insight into 17th century great houses, 19th century and 20th century millionaires (the Forbes family).
There is a nice little cafe, park land, a museum on hot air balloons and a good shop. Signage near the chateau is non-existent. Drive towards it and parking is just before the gates.

Well worth the visit to see the rooms inside and it's history.
The facades is being repaired, so it is covered and has a temporary roof over the top.
Guided tour only (in French) but do have booklets in other languages available

We thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your experience at Balleroy's Château. It is indeed currently under renovation but as you have seen, it doesn't prevent from enjoying the guided tour inside. We are pleased to learn that you have enjoyed the rooms. The tours can be in French or in English, depending on the number of people present at the start of the visit (if there are more English speakers, we do it in English and vice versa). We hope to welcome you back again, once the tarp will be off and the Château's facades have regained a new youth.
