Great location, not far from kings cross St. Pancras, desk was manned at all hours so we could come back and forth as we wanted with no issue getting back to the building. Fresh towels everyday, super friendly staff. Everything clean and tidy, well worth the price
The hotel is located in close proximity to KingsCross and St.Pancras International Station, it is small, quiet and cosy. The service is friendly, even on departure you can leave your luggage and explore the city. In the evening you can also sit in the garden to let the big city and the impressions sink in. The £7.50 breakfast is good and the choice is sufficient. All in all, a clear recommendation.
This hotel is conveniently located near Euston station and St Pancras, so we found it very handy for the Eurostar. The room was good with french windows that would let you into the garden. Stairs to reach the room are steep and narrow if you have a big case. They offer a breakfast as an extra. It looks good value.
Good location and very friendly service. The rooms are tiny, but have everything you need. It was okay for one night, especially because I had access to a pretty back garden, which I would have enjoyed if it was not raining. I think the price is fair, but would recommend to reconsider if you are looking for something to stay for multiple nights. There was a lot of cold air coming through the door and the blankets are thin.
My review is adjusted for the fact that this is a 2* hotel. Given that, I thought it was fantastic value for money. The reception service was impeccable: friendly, efficient, organised, and informative. We were greeted by and said goodbye to a very big smile.
The room was perfectly adequate for our needs. If I’m booking a 2* hotel, I just pray it’s warm and clean, and this delivered and beyond. Spotless, fresh linen, tea/coffees and biscuits were on the house, and the shower room was very clean with a well-pressured shower.
I can recommend. The only thing I was really left wanting for was a bedside lamp for reading. The only light was the main one. That’s the reason for 4* not 5* under the room category.
The location is relatively good as it's about a 15 minute walk from St Pancras station to the hotel. All the staff were friendly. Mineral water in the room is free, so that's a good thing. The toilet room and shower are combined. There is no shower curtain and the toilet gets soaked. There is no ventilation fan, so the humidity cannot be removed. Drainage is also poor.
I paid extra for the double room. When I arrived it was clear what I received was the single room (based on the photos). When I brought it up with the staff they said "The one we gave you is a double room. But no problem, we can move you" - ummm, if the one I have is the double room, how will moving to another one fix the problem? I asked if they could refund the difference and they refused to do so. It's unfortunate, the hotel is actually pretty decent value for where it is but there is nothing worse than paying extra for something, not getting it and then being gaslit by the staff.
L'hôtel se situe à côté de King's Cross, récemment rénové il est confortable et très propre. Le personnel est très agréable.
Seulement j'aurais bien aimé que la chambre se trouve plus dans le noir car les rideaux ne sont pas assez occultants.
For those travelling through London, this hotel is a stones throw from Kings Cross in one of the quieter backstreets yet close to numerous pubs and restaurants.
Staff have always been really helpful and welcoming.
There are no lifts so if you have mobility challenges you'd need to request a ground floor room, as the stairs are tight and steep.
Rooms are a good size and well fitted out.
Kings Crossa çok yakın. Ayrıca oda, banyo, nevresimler tertemiz. Oda çok iyi ısınıyor. Petek ısılarını ayarlayabiliyorsunuz. Su basıncı ve sıcaklığı çok iyi. Şimdiye kadar kaldığım en temiz otel olabilir. Resepsiyondaki arkadaşlar çok nazik ve yardımsever. Kahvaltısı uygun fiyatlıydı. Yoğurt bile vardı, meyve suyu çeşitleri mevcut güzel beğendik.
location isn't too bad, around 8 minutes walk from underground. Service is excellent and the rooms are pretty good especially for the price. I would recommend this place for future visits.
Great location for kings cross/st pancreas & Sadlers wells
Room basic but clean and the en suite was a wet room / toilet and that was spotless too
Would stay here again
Our accommodation cancelled our booking 3 days before we were due to travel to London, but fortunately Swinton Hotel had a room free! Absolutely great price for what you get.
We stayed 1 night and the staff were very friendly and helpful, plus it's just a short walk (less than 10 mins) from Kings cross Station and you can drop your bags off early / leave them after check out too so it was ideal!
The rooms are basic but still had toiletries in an ensuite, as well as coffee, tea & biscuits! Plus, the towels smelt gorgeous - whatever laundry powder they use is lovely.
Yes, you can hear the trains, but honestly it didn't disturb our sleep.
Hotel très bien situé non loin de la gare de St Pancras. Pratique quand on arrive par l'eurostar et présence de nombreuses lignes de métro.
Le personnel est très accueillant et peux conseiller si besoin.
Le petit déjeuner est très bon.
