We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. Our experience of the stay was great and met all our needs. Meeting an amazing family that runs this boutique hotel was most important to us. From the moment we walked in the front door, we felt a friendly and warm attitude, we received helpful recommendations about sites to visit and used them. We felt like being at home away from home. And this is an opportunity to say thank you for the wonderful hospitality.
Booked for our anniversary, assuming this was an upscale hotel. In truth, it is sadly barely on the level of a travellodge...
We contacted the hotel prior to asking for there to be a king double bed (as advertised) and not 2 single beds. We also requested to purchase chocolates and wine in advance to make the occasion mmkre special.
Arrived to find nothing waiting in the room (brought after we booked in) and 2 single beds put together.
Hotel said that this is all they offer when mentioned a "double bed." This is at best disingenuous.
Further, the room is tatty, in need of serious attention, the air-conditioning remote was missing, tv tilted on it stans and we hoped won't collapse, staines on the catpets, draon clearly not cleaned for a while and lastly - eventhough we specifically mentioned this was our anniversary, the hotel saw fit to place us in the bottom floor, a single glazed window next to the street. So no sleep for us.
Added 1 star as breakfast was ok.
This is the place to stay if you’re coming to London! Centrally located and close to Victoria station. From the fluffy pillows to the comfy beds, amazing! The windows open which let in some wonderful cool air, plus it was so quiet. Nick and Sylvia are wonderful hosts and make you feel like family from the first meeting. The breakfast offered was delish and the variety is amazing!
The elevator was a huge plus as we were on the third floor and my girlfriend had her knee done a couple of months back. Definitely recommend and next time we come back, we’ll stay here!
Oh, the staff is right up there with the Hyatt, Marriott or any of those larger hotels. Friendly, accommodating and very personable.
Thank you from Cathy and Evelyn for a superb experience. ❤️
Very nice small boutique hotel close to Buckingham palace. In a really posh area. I has a single room, small but nice new clean and well equipment. Kettle, tea and coffee and complimentary water. They have elevator. The bed was very comfortable and nice heating. No refrigerator but can set thing outside on window. Great breakfast in the morning. Very good experience
Beautiful old building in quaint central London neighbourhood. Very close to Victoria Station. Exceptionally friendly service...very welcoming. Room was clean and cozy. Shower was a little weak and took forever to warm up, but otherwise everything was top notch!
Warm welcome host very accommodating
Breakfast is really nice and great choice,s
Road traffic is noisy ????
Well located to Victoria station 10 min walk
Bars and restaurants are plenty
