Tres Magnifique! I found this wonderful hotel on booking dot com. The rooms are clean and adorable. The breakfast was delicious and welcomed after a long day of travel. Highly recommend!!

Stunning gite behind street positioned heavy grren doors! Opens by digital video, to the most beautiful gite!
Three floors, very steep narrow marble steps to rooms.
Lovely breakfast dining room.
Continental style breakfast, fresh and a choice of meats, cheese, tea, coffee, fruit juices, fruit.

Attic rooms are beautiful, large, comfortable double bed, a nice shower/ toilet room with window view over rooftops to town. Old, quaint, quite stunning .
Outside courtyard with sepertae Gite.

Attentive owners and staff.

Gite is perfect for visiting the town [6 minutes!] and attractions [ Chateau/Castle, Cathedrals, Abbey etc..[ within walking distance [ 15 minutes and great attractions to visit].

Lovely 16th century mansion with history. Lovely room, the red room with a view of court yard has a nice shower, plush towels, internet and wifi.
Walk to Cafe, restaurants and castle. Staff are helpful warm and welcoming. Would stay here again!

Superbe endroit au calme nous avons passé une nuit dans la chambre rose qui est sous les toits au niveau propreté rien à dire impeccable, literie confortable
un mini bar, une cafetière une bouilloire et le + un defroisseur vapeur

Le Clos Saint-Martin was a very nice place to stay. The room (Le Chambre Vert) was vey spacious and quiet. It actually consists of a living space with a bed, a separate dressing room, a bathroom with double sinks and a bathtub/shower combo, and a room with a toilet. The property is located in a quiet area and the room overlooks a very nice courtyard. We opted to have their breakfast each morning (additional $10 each) and found the food to be fresh, plentiful, and delicious.
We would definitely stay here again.

Très belle demeure, petit déjeuner copieux et très bon. Centre ville à deux pas, prévoir un stationnement un peu distant si on ne veut pas payer sinon parking souterrain à côté de la mairie pour une journée compter 20€.

Great location and decent value for the price. Breakfast was basic but good and the staff were friendly and quick to respond on email. The attention to detail in the room was a bit sloppy. The drapes need to be fixed, a former guest’s used gum was on the floor and several lamps did not work. The mattress needs to be replaced and the shower floor is also slick as ice. Be careful.

This hotel in the middle of Caen is a gem!
The blue room is very spacious, very well decorated, the bathroom is very nice and everything is absolutely spotless.
Isolation from noise and heat is perfect from the inside and the outside.
The service is friendly and the breakfast is very good.
Just note that parking in the middle of Caen is not super easy.
I highly recommend the place and hope to go back!

La habitación no estaba mal pero no reflejaba lo que se veia en la foto de la web. La imagen de la foto presentaba un ambiente distinto al que encuentras en la realidad. Además si escoges las habitaciones de la planta alta hay que tener en cuenta que no hay ascensor y la escalera no es demasiado cómoda

Struttura carina sé non fosse per la scortesia del personale …la ragazza della reception è stata molto sgradevole spesso dimenticano chi è il cliente …segnalo che non c’è ascensore e scala angusta per salire in camera dove ovviamente non c’è nessuno che ti aiuta a portare i bagagli ..non ci tornerei assolutamente…ah dimenticavo la colazione non inclusa e a dir poco pietosa , mi hanno portato del cioccolato dentro una tazza sbeccata e mi sono anche tagliata ovviamente sempre nell’indifferenza della receptionist…non ho visto nessun altro otre lei …da dimenticare

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Gîte zClos Saint Martin in Caen, and it was an absolute delight! Nestled in the heart of Caen's downtown, this cozy retreat is just a few minutes' walk from the city's most captivating attractions and delightful restaurants. The location couldn't be more perfect for anyone looking to explore the charm and history of Caen on foot.

The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the authentic French breakfast offered every morning. Fresh croissants, delicious cheeses, and other local delicacies made for a perfect start to each day. The hosts clearly take great pride in providing an excellent culinary experience that truly showcases the best of French cuisine.

The ambiance of Gîte zClos Saint Martin is both warm and inviting, making it a perfect home away from home. However, I should mention that the stairs leading to the rooms are quite steep, which might be a consideration for some guests. Despite this, the overall experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend this charming spot to anyone visiting Caen.

I was on a family trip to Normandy, staying in Caen for three nights. We had the Blue Room and the Green Room and everyone loved this small, beautiful hotel. It's in a renovated 17th and 18th century building. Each of our rooms was very large (bedroom, bathroom, and a closet / dressing room), impeccably clean, quiet, and comfortable. The rooms face a beautiful courtyard instead of the street. Wi-Fi was very good. There's ample paid parking nearby (free overnight and on Sunday). The included breakfast spread was terrific, including locally grown pears and local cheese, meats, and more. I'd love to stay here again! Caen is a wonderful city to visit in its own right and is also an excellent base for Bayeux and the D-Day beaches.

Be warned. They imply breakfast is included then stick you with the bill at checkout. Even after showing the host an email confirmation that indicated breakfast was included , he didn’t budge! Rooms were average. If you’re taller than 5’10” your feet will hang off the bed and your knees will hit the wall while using toilet. TV didn’t work unless you have your own streaming service. Further, if you need any assistance whatsoever, good luck! No one at property except in the morning. They don’t reply to emails or calls. Would NOT recommend. So many other cute B&Bs in Bayeux!!!

Pack light, it is a 3 story walk up. The place itself is beautiful and the rooms are well appointed. We were given very clear instructions on how to get in as there was no one onsite when we arrived in the early afternoon.

Notre séjour au Clos Saint-Martin a été très agréable. Notre famille de 4 personnes a séjourné dans la chambre jaune, qui était spacieuse, avec deux chambres séparées pour que nos adolescents et nous ayons un peu d'espace après une longue journée passée à visiter les sites de la plage du jour J. Le personnel était très accueillant et serviable. Le personnel était très accueillant et serviable, nous avons eu un problème avec notre prochain hôtel dans une autre ville, et l'équipe nous a gracieusement aidés à résoudre le problème en parlant directement avec eux en français, en arrêtant ce qu'ils faisaient avec la préparation du petit déjeuner pour nous aider. Le petit déjeuner est également délicieux. Le petit déjeuner est également délicieux, le parfait au yaourt est le meilleur que nous ayons mangé en deux semaines en France. Le bâtiment et les chambres sont magnifiques, c'est tellement agréable d'être dans un bâtiment plus ancien à Caen, alors qu'une grande partie de la ville a été détruite pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Je ne saurais trop recommander ce charmant B&B - le seul problème était le stationnement, mais nous avons trouvé une place dans la rue à quelques pâtés de maisons.

Une belle adresse dans le centre de Caen. La chambre blanche est suffisamment spacieuse avec beaucoup de cachet. Je recommande les yeux fermés ! ????

Éviter la chambre blanche qui est très petite et mansardée. Salle de bain minuscule avec impossibilité de poser des affaires.|Les autres chambres sont spacieuses et très bien décorées.|Un petit coup d’aspirateur journalier dans la salle de bain aurait été souhaitable.|Points positifs : situation ( proche de l’abbaye aux Hommes ) , accueil , petit-déjeuner ( simple avec un bon rapport qualité prix) , terrasse , calme …|Donc à recommander … sauf la chambre blanche !
