As a frequent traveller, I admit I may sometimes have high standards and I was toying between giving this place a 4 or 5 star rating so I would say it’s 4.5.

Plus Points
+ Easily accessible by Metro or walking
+ Very secure neighbourhood or the building / compound as well
+ A star customer service and personalised attention given by all the staff
+ Very tastefully decorated interior particularly the lobby and the rooftop bar which I hope I had spent more time in
+ Daily activities for guest to mingle , make friends and bond is also something that takes the hostel experience one level above

The only area of feedback I have is that there could perhaps be more hanging racks in the room and the toilet is a bit cramped though clean.

Very nice hostel. Very welcoming staff. The way they take time to check you in. It feels really personal. Rooms are nice. I had one with street view. The sitting area downstairs is nice. You can eat there. And have breakfast in the morning. The roof terrace is nice as well and the have different activities at night. You got to meet more people. The tour they offer to Sindra is good. Small group very personal attention. And a good price. I highly recommend this place.

The staff really do Hate f- tourists, especially their paying guests. Lol.

Firstly, agree with everyone else's review about the fake friendliness. I get it hostels are repetitive work, but no need to be condescendingly helpful. Rather they just smile and nod instead of making snug remarks when you tell them your plans to tour the city. Annoying.

After hours, there is an 11pm quiet hours. Which I totally respect. So as a way to not disturb anyone, I went to the common space in the basement to make a call to my elderly mother. Dude working there is telling me I'm too loud when I'm clearly low voice and so far away from any of the bedrooms. Another flexing your "authority".

Also someone stole my Tupperware when I clearly labeled it. Other people I met there had the same experience of stuff getting stolen, like tooth paste, soap. Not sure if staff are just throwing it out without leaving it at the desk first, prolly, but when you ask the staff, they are totally useless.

The rooms are sufficient, not big at all, but good enough if you get decent roommates which we did. The washrooms are another story. Super small and no place to put clothes when taking a shower. Also they put a shelf in front of the mirror and hit my head while washing my face. If another person comes inside, y'all have to squeeze past each other. Dumb.

The common space is fine. The location is fine. But the service is trash. And the entire space is small, even for a big city tight apartment. If you are visiting Lisbon, find another hostel with the same price and better facilities/staff and have a better vacation. You're welcome in advance.

Great Experience, personal was very helpful in the planning of our short trip in Lisbon suggesting us which places to go visit even with a written review of Lisbon and a personalized one for Nazaré. Rooms were comfortable and clean and met great people from all over the world.

La seule chose positive dans cet auberge, c’est Julie à qui nous faisons toutes un big hug. Julie est géniale et formidable à la fois. Elle aime son métier, prend le temps de faire les choses. Elle est à l’écoute des clients. Je n’ai pas de mots pour la décrire. Très serviable

Nous sommes passées de surprises en surprises. D’abord on prend une chambre pour 4. 3 d’entre nous sont présentes et payent; malgré cela, Virginie nous refuse l’accès à la chambre tant que la 4eme personne n’est pas là sachant qu’elle est arrivée après 20h. Ensuite c’est la surprise des douches et WC. Combinés et en dehors des chambres. Il faut se balader avec ses affaires. Bof. Ensuite la surprise des chambres; aucune précision lors de la réservation du fait que ce serait une chambre mixte.On le découvre au moment de dormir. On descend à la réception en parler avec Virginie qui nous indique qu’à défaut, on pourrait chercher un autre logement. Et les lits on en parle ? On s’est toutes réveillées avec un rhume, je suppose, qui est dû à la poussière. Et l’auberge pourrait préciser qu’il faut garder des cadenas ou en mettre en vente car aucune info à ce sujet lors de la réservation. On s’attendait à des rangements à code.Surprise à l’arrivée.

Incredible hostel! Right when I arrived the staff were so friendly and helped plan my trip. It is so aesthetic and clean and I loved the roof top bar when the sun was out.

The organised activities were so fun aswell and good value.

I will be back!

Cons:
1. The room is actually uncomfortably much smaller than the photos shown in their website and other booking service. Please see the comparison photos, the distance between two bunkers is only ~80 cm. It is almost not possible for two persons to stand at the same time. (while their official photo makes you feel you can do a nice yoga extension ????, No! only if you are a guru! ????)
2. The receptionists' friendly attitude dramatically changed after I raised my complaints. She became impatient and giving me a "IDGIAF"(which means they don't care it at all, the word they used in their hostel name but google doesn't allow me to use ????) face . Maybe this is the real meaning of the ****** in this hotel's name.
3. They have a HIDDEN rule that guests cannot turn on their personal light inside their-own block after 11pm, even the curtain is off. I was requested to turn off my light or go to public area when I was using my laptop in the midnight. I told the receptionist in the second day about how to make their room more comfortable, and I got an "IDGIAF", AGAIN.
4. Even every floor has its own toilet, but these toilets are gender separated, the floor I stay equips only female toilets, so I have to go to different floor in the midnight when I need it. And toilets are also super small, and the locks of both toilets in 2F were broken for all the days I stay there. (What a smart move to reduce the time guests using toilet :)

Pro:
1. In the beginning, the receptionists are friendly, although I feel it is more like scripted. I checked-in late and tired, but they insisted to give me an orientation even I have expressed I need to rest . Of course, after I raised my complaints, all these fake smiles and friendliness disappeared.
2. The rooms are clean, they even made my bed in the second day I stay! But to be honest, I felt being intruded, since I didn't request and hostels usually don't do this.
3. They are green! They install time-limited mechanism for their shower. But these time-limited devices are a bit annoying when they actually work. I have to press the button every 15 seconds when I take a shower, and every time when I press the button, the temperature changes.

I had the best week ever at WFHT - the staff was so kind and caring, the space was beautiful (especially the rooftop bar!) and I met some amazing people. Special thank you to Julie, Sobral, Alba and Sascha - will remember you forever :)

I left my bags with the staff to explore for a couple hours before I was able to check in. In that time, €400 was taken from my bag and my wallet was thrown under the bed with all the cash missing. I brought up the issue to the staff and they said they would look at the cameras but never followed up with me. When I asked again I was told they trusted their staff and would not do anything about my money being stolen, when only their staff entered the room with my bag. I asked to speak to a manager and was told twice that the manager could speak to me the next day and still never heard anything.

A wonderful youth hostel at a good price in central Lisbon for those who want to spend a few days. Not recommended for families

Absolutely stunning, this place is community. Fresh and clean with nice people. The last floor has lounge/bar area, where they could've fit dozens of beds but instead got it shared for all guests, what's awesome!

Ha sido mi tercer viaje solo y este hostal ha ayudado completamente a que mi experiencia sea increible. Sin duda el mejor hostal en el que me he hospedado por varias razones:
- La amabilidad del personal es sobresaliente, nada más llegar te explican todo muy bien, te ofrecen una bebida, te preguntan si has estado más veces en Lisboa y te dan una hoja de bienvenida con toda la información básica.
- Las habitaciones son pequeñas pero cómodas, tienes tu cama ya sea parte alta o parte baja con un cajon en la parte inferior donde guardar cosas y cerrarlo con candado.
- Todos los dias organizan algun tipo de evento en el hostal para fomentar sociabilizar con el resto de gente, pensé que nadie se apuntaría por la experiencia en otros hotales pero la verdad es que en las zonas comunes siempre habia gente con ganas de compartir aunque fuera una pequeña charla o incluso salir por la noche con el Pub Crawl que es muy buena opción si quieres vivir la vida nocturna y no hacerlo solo.

La única queja es que solo hay dos baños y dos duchas y en mi caso tenia que subir dos pisos para llegar, luego dentro del baño en general el espacio es muy pequeño como para manejarse con la toalla, la ropa de cambio, etc. Eso si, el agua con la temperatura y flujo adecuado y todo muy limpio.

Ha sido de los viajes que más he disfrutado y diria que un 70% ha sido gracias a las experiencias vividas en el hostal y con la gente que nos acabamos juntando.

Amazing hostel with equally amazing staff

I will definitely go back to this hostel. The interior design is beautiful and everything is arranged in a way to organically meet the other guests.They have daily activities but what's unique about this hostel, is the amazing customer service. Let's just start with the amazing welcome email that they will send you. Giving you a couple of Portuguese words to get you started for your visit to Lisbon.

The employees but specifically the manager are amazing. She took time to plan my staying in Lisbon when I did the check in. She gave me recommendations on what to visit, how to get there, what to do, avoid tourists trap, things that I should definitely visit and more.
They gave us a tour of the entire hostel and introducing us to staff members a long the visit and to other hostel guests, to break the ice.

The roof top area is very nice but the lobby area is stunning. The bed was very comfortable with a locker space at the bottom of the bunk beds. I personally loved the personalized note that was left on my pillow confirming the activity that night.

The Neon sign is perfect for social media pictures.

Breakfast was excellent and the Smeg appliances are a chic touch.

I had so much fun at this hostel. I will definitely recommend this hostel.

I stayed here on my birthday and went on a pub crawl. It was an amazing night and I made lots of new friends .. the staff is fun, energetic, and super helpful. They care about helping you enjoy your time

This is the first choice, if they have beds available, take them. Don't even bother looking elsewhere. This is the best.

Wow ???? what an amazing stay ???? I travel all over the world and this was my top 3 favorite hostel. The other was in Cancun. Hospitality was too notch and the people were amazing.

Super vriendelijk personeel en ze zetten een stapje extra voor je. Er worden leuke activiteiten georganiseerd en de kamers zijn erg netjes. Ook wordt je bed dagelijks opgemaakt en de kamer schoongemaakt. Dit heb ik nog nooit in een ander hostel meegemaakt. Soms wordt er zelfs op de deur geklopt of je een kopje koffie of bekertje wijn te geven!
