Μεσημέρι Σαββάτου, ώρα 15:00. Μπαίνουμε στη μικρή αυλίτσα. Ένας κύριος ξεφορτώνει μια μπουκάλα υγραερίου στο μαγαζί. Δεν υπήρχαν άλλοι πελάτες. Μας λέει να καθίσουμε, χωρίς ποτέ να χαιρετήσει και ενημερώνει μια κυρία ότι ήρθε κόσμος. Προφανώς η κυρία βαρέθηκε να μαγειρέψει/ εξυπηρετήσει/ ασχοληθεί και βγαίνει να μας πει ότι είναι κλειστά. Χμμ... Περίεργο που στο ωράριο λειτουργίας είχα δει ότι είναι ανοιχτά και η αυλόπορτα ήταν επίσης ορθάνοιχτη. Τι να πει κανείς; Απορίας άξιον πως -παρά την αντιεπαγγελματική και αγενή συμπεριφορά- τέτοια μαγαζιά συνεχίζουν να υπάρχουν. Αναφορικά δε με την ταμπέλα που αναγράφει ότι δεν δέχονται κάρτα, παρά μόνο μετρητά, δεν έχω λόγια. Θέλει περισσό θράσσος μάλλον να αναγράφεις φαρδιά πλατιά κάτι που είναι καταφανώς παράνομο. Τελικά, καταλήξαμε σε μαγαζί στην πλατεία που μας εξυπηρέτησαν εξαιρετικά. Κάθε εμπόδιο για καλό! Στο συγκεκριμένο δεν θα επιχειρήσουμε ποτέ ξανά.

For reasons that I can not understand, Google removed my previous review as a "fake engagement." nonetheless, I have returned once again to Efimeron, which remains one of my favorite restaurants and experiences in Athens. This time, we sat right beside the stage, soaking up the delightful rebetika music, and chatting amiably with the guests at the next table who were amazed that non-locals know about this place. All the food is amazing and home-cooked, but the dolmadakia are divine!

Ωραίο φαΐ, αγενεστατοι οικοδεσπότες,σχετικά ακριβά ,υπέροχη μουσική που γι αυτούς τα ειπομείναμε ολα. Φοβερη ορχηστρα 2 ατόμων χωρις μικρόφωνα Παρασκευή, τετοιο ήχο δεν εχω ακούσει ούτε σε στερεοφωνικό.

Piccolo taverna tipica greca. Ambiente molto familiare e arredo decisamente curioso. Possibilità di mangiare sia dentro con musica locale, che nel giardino d’ingresso. Tutto molto spartano, ma molto bello. Servizio basico ma il padrone di casa ti coccola con la sua ospitalità e simpatia.
Menù tipico greco con prezzi buoni.
Consiglio vivamente.

Κλείνει στις 03:00 σκάσαμε 01:30 και μας έδιωξε μια κοκκινομάλλα γιαγιά ενώ το μαγαζί είχε 3 τραπέζια, τρώγανε και καπνίζανε σε εσωτερικό χώρο. Απαράδεκτη συμπεριφορά ενώ είπαμε να κάτσουμε για ένα κρασί.

During phone reservation they just said that is 2 eur charge for musicians, as usually in this type of taverns. Waiter forced us to order for at least 20 eur per person and said that if we don't like we can go away. Stay away from this place!

Θα μπορούσε να είναι ένα κόσμημα μέσα στο κέντρο της Αθήνας με ωραία ρέμπετικη ζωντανή μουσική σε ένα πανέμορφο περιβάλλον το οποίο παραπέμπει στην Αθήνα του ‘30 και νόστιμο αλλά ακριβό φαγητό Δυστυχώς όμως είναι ένα πολύ βρώμικο μαγαζί. Από τα ταβάνια κρέμονται αράχνες. Τα τραπέζια βρώμικα η κουζίνα σε άθλια κατάσταση . Απορώ πως μαγειρεύουν εκεί φαγητά. Για να μην μιλήσω για την τουαλέτα. Θα πρέπει να επέμβει το υγειονομικό άμεσα.

The most impressive and authentic Taverna experienes in Athens.
The food was delicious and fast served, the Atmosphere was great and the livemusic made me love traditionel greek music.

Honestly it was amazing. Just go there.

One of the most real experiences I had in a long time. The quality-price is great. The family is very tourist-frienldy. The garden looks very down-to-earth but still incredibly beautiful, and the inside is even more authentic. We even got amazing Greek music.
Very veggie-friendly! Amazing zucchini croquettes.

Don’t let the quiet, rustic nature of the environment fool you. The food here is the real deal. The dolmades are better than mine or my mom’s. The meats flavorful and aromatic. This traditional Greek in a way most restaurants struggle to present.

Sicuramente da provare..tipica ristorante greco in un quartiere me o turistico con musica tradizionale. Cibo buono ...l ambiente potrebbe essere curato un po di più. Però lo consiglio

Wonderfully authentic little restaurant run by an old couple. It's the sort of place you'd expect to find in a mountain village, not in the middle of Athens. Great live music - bouzuki & guitar. There is a (hand written) English menu and they speak a few words.
Went there twice over 5 days and loved it.
Great value, atmosphere & food. The service can be slow but if you're in a hurry, head for McDonald's.

Δυστυχώς πέρα από την καλή διάθεση των μουσικών όλα τα υπόλοιπα ήταν απαράδεκτα, ήμασταν κυριολεκτικά μόνοι μας και μας έκανε το προσωπικό συνέχεια παρατηρήσεις γιατί απλά κάναμε κέφι με τη μουσική, χρειάστηκε να απολογηθούμε γιατί ζητήσαμε αρκετές φορές πάγο. Τα παιδιά της ορχήστρας ήταν άψογα και μας ζήτησαν να κάνουμε παραγγελίες αλλά το προσωπικό διαφώνησε και με αυτό, γενικά απαράδεκτο κλίμα και συμπεριφορά από το προσωπικό, η τουαλέτες απαράδεκτες, γενικά μόνο που δεν ζητήσαμε συγνώμη που θέλαμε να περάσουμε καλά! Δεν το προτείνω, εάν μπορούσα θα έβαζα κουλουράκι με σουσαμάκι (0)

Als wir ankamen, waren wir zunächst etwas verunsichert, aber der Schein trügt. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker, der Inhaber super lieb und auch die Musik war schön. Die Preise sind in Ordnung. Wir sind begeistert und werden dieser urigen und traditionellen Taverne sicher noch öfter einen Besuch abstatten!

Ignore all of the negative comments, this is a magical place. It’s not just a restaurant, but a ripple in space-time— a portal to an oasis of viscous tzatziki, succulent meats, feline adornments (live), and melon to finish.
If upon my attempt to return it were merely a wall with no entrance, it wouldn’t be at all a surprise, for only such mystical places exist outside of time itself.

אוכל בסדר, יווני מקומי לא מתחנף. פרוסות לחם עבות לא טריות מספיק. סגנאקי מצויין, שאר התבשילים פחות. אבל המופע שמתחיל 2130 עושה את הערב, נגנים מקומים עם אקוסטיקה יחודית למבנה. חגיגה מקומית למקומים

Ignore the negative reviews. This place is like visiting the country home of the Greek grandparents you never had, but always wanted. Because of the food! ???? this place oozes history and authenticity. No, the service/menu/decor is not "polished." That's half the charm. The music is wonderful and the food is outstanding. Do not miss the baked eggplant with melted feta. It's one of the best dishes we ever ate. Can not wait to go again!
