La iglesia Ostatci Crkve Stomorica ha dado su nombre a este restaurante. En la terraza, en el bonito comedor, se aprecia la tranquilidad de una comida lejos de la multitud. A la carta, una cocina clásica del Adriático: pescados, crustáceos, risotto con tinta de calamar, carnes a la parrilla o la famosa pašticada, este plato de buey dalmate amurallado con salsa agridulce y servido con gnocchis. También se puede pedir una copa de vino (buena bodega) con un plato de queso de oveja y de prosmauritto hundido en la región. Regularmente, los músicos vienen a animarse.

Nothing about this restaurant is pretentious, yet everything is perfect. The ambience is great, the staff are incredibly friendly and generous, and the food it so simple yet so delicious.
I did not order any starters. I just went straight to the menu area that said typical dalmatian food since I haven't had any at all since the start of my trip.
Out of recommendation, I went for this delicious chickpea and cuttlefish stew, served with a generous basket of fresh bread. This stew was otherworldly, simple ingredients prepared with so much care. I also had the fried smelts that were super fresh and tasted amazingly good, once again very simple, local ingredients. This was also a very generous portion of tiny little fish, could easily be a starter for two people.
Together with my meal, I had a large local beer.
Altogether, I paid 39,25€.
In the end, as I was about to pay, I asked about this traditional local spirit called maraschino, made with some cherry variety existent only in dalmatia. The staff was so kind and gave me a glass of this spirit, on the house!
I felt at home in this restaurant. Felt the real Croatian vibe for the first time, with traditional music playing in the background and also locals enjoying their meals there. I had lovely conversations with different members of staff, which were all very kind and happy to teach me some croatian and also learn some portuguese.
It's definitely my go-to restaurant when I am ever back in Zadar. I strongly recommend it.
