CHALET HOTEL ALPEN VALLEY ^{* * * *}

Très bel emplacement, service selon le personnel présent, problème de bruit, évoqué pendant le séjour et au départ et aucune réaction, dommage ...

Emplacement parfait pour profiter de la station de Combloux. Chambres très confortables avec une vue Mont Blanc à couper le souffle. Seul le restaurant est à mon sens en dessous par rapport au reste des prestations de l'hôtel.

Un moment suspendu face au mont blanc. Très bel hôtel et très beau rooftop pour accueillir toute la famille dans une seule et même suite parfaitement équipée aux prestations luxueuses. L'équipe est à l’écoute, très sympathique. Situé au pied des pistes, je recommande fortement.

J’ai passer un excellent jour de l’an avec mon mari. Personnels à l’écoute service de chambre discret. Un hôtel 4 étoiles superbe avec petit attention du propriétaire des produits de bain de très grande qualité je reviendrai avec plaisir en famille. Merci pour notre premier expérience dans un 4 étoiles nous sommes conquis.

It’s definitely not a 4 star. It’s a nice small hotel but has a lot of issues. Even though you can see the staff is trying hard to do their best, they are set for failure by a very weak management. At +€600 a night you expect better quality. We did see staff having meltdowns in the main room (due to a weak management that has set them for failure), recycling wine bottles from customer tables to the “per glass” serving area (this I think was just a lack of training). We saw other customers asking for the general manager to complain at the dinner table. We saw a Russian lady with her son crying due to being mistreated. Overall, the management is not doing their job, there are countless areas that management could tweak (I.e breakfast setup,..) to support the staff and not set them for failure. A simple example is when you know you will have around 50 people showing up for breakfast at around 8:00 am don’t set bowls 5 units at a time, set 50 or 75. Or put a water boiler that is for 5 ltr not 1. just simple tweaks like this would minimize a lot of complains we saw happening.
Food was mediocre. maybe for Swiss people coming from a country with not many options due to a protectionist system, the food and offering was good but for EU citizens, it clearly lacked.we did have a good time since we didn’t want to complain or spoil our vacation, but overall it lacked that extra quality to make it a true 4 stars. Also the hotel doesn’t really have a lounge, it seems it had a panoramic view room, but that’s now changed to a dinner room since my wife got kicked out on the afternoon ( staff was setting up tables for dinner) from that room when she was sitting and quietly reading her book. Again, we did our best to have a good time and we did have a good time, these are just some observations. On the room, TV broke down a few times, and also the towel heater stopped working but these things are just bad luck and happens other places. Great view of Mont Blanc!!!
