⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and overall had a great experience. The grounds are beautifully maintained — clean, lush, and truly inviting. It’s clear the hotel takes pride in its appearance and ambiance.

Our room was spacious, with a comfortable queen-sized bed and perfectly functioning air-conditioning, which was appreciated during the warm days. We requested a fan for white noise while sleeping, and the staff brought one up very promptly — excellent service.

While we didn’t dine at the restaurant, we did try the homemade ice cream by the chef, which was fantastic. That said, for a hotel of this caliber and price point, I feel a small gesture like offering one scoop per guest per day would go a long way. It’s not about the cost — just the gesture. Charging for it felt a bit off-brand for a five-star property.

The hotel recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, and the renovations they’ve done are tasteful and elevate the whole experience while keeping the charm of the original property.

The gym is quite small — really only comfortable for one or two people at a time — but if you go during a quiet period, you can still get a decent workout in.

As for the location, it was ideal for us. A peaceful and private setting, yet only about a 20–25 minute walk to town, which made everything easily accessible without being right in the middle of the hustle and bustle.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel. A few small tweaks would elevate the experience even more, but it’s a lovely place to stay and well worth a visit.

Le Pigonnet is a very pretty hotel, in lovely gardens and a good pool. The common areas are stylishly, if traditionally, decorated. We found the service generally good, although a bit hit and miss at breakfast.|The room however, was the worst we experienced on our trip through Provence staying at 10 different hotels. |Admittedly, it was their entry level room (classic), but I would still expect drawers or shelves for T-shirts, socks and underwear etc. We had to use a chair for these. |The mini bar fridge just contained 2 bottles of water, and was not in a cabinet, just placed at the end of the bed. |The bedside tables were so small as to be useless, just enough space for a drinking glass and nothing else.|I’ve had more charmingly decorated rooms in an Ibis.|As we could see the hotel was full we did not ask to change rooms. It was fine to sleep in, with a comfortable bed, just not somewhere that you would wish to spend any time, which is not what I would expect in a 5 star hotel.|Breakfast was good, though missing some basics - no plain yoghurt for the entire time we were there.|We enjoyed the pool, but would not visit this hotel again, as the risk of a bad room seems too great. Next time we will try Villa Gallici, which although more expensive looks to be a totally different level in terms of design and service.

Overrated Overpriced. Service and attitude. Supposed to be collected at Train Station, nobody arrived, ordered car for a trip to another town. They forgot to order. No water in room. Breakfast awful, had to hunt down a waitress, asked for a Croissant and just got shrug from the lady putting out the food. No glasses to pour water, no plates to put bread etc. Basic basic. And all for $1500 per night!!!!!
