We recently stayed on premises and did a wine tasting/tour. The hospitality and thoughtfulness was incredible and blew us away. Alexandra and her team paid so much attention to detail and helped us with planning and dinners. I can't recommend this place enough!

The chateau is absolutely fabulous. It is fully modernized and very comfortable. The staff is amazing. We had a great breakfast every morning and plan for the chef prepared dinner during your visit. You won't regret it. We will certainly return.

We visited Cateau Dauzac in late March and had an experience my family will never forget. The historic property has been designed to a 6 star modern hotel you would find in London, Dubai or New York level. It would be a phenomenal location to hold any event. Or simply visit with friends. The staff and service made our experience unforgettable. We were treated to several different wines and every single one was exquisite. Our personal favourite was the Chateau Dauzac Margaux Grand Cru en classe 1855. Chateau Dauzac was an experience like no other and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the best of the Margaux appellation in pure luxury.

Magnifique découverte de Château Dauzac sublimé par un séjour dans la Chartreuse.
Les chambres sont superbes. Une décoration magnifique dans un cadre avec vue sur le vignoble. Les espaces sont incroyables.
Vivement recommandé pour un séjour de très grande qualité !

Château Dauzac was our very first wine tasting experience of the day on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, and it did not disappoint. Our tour guide (un million de pardons à elle pour ne pas nous souvenir de son nom) provided an in-depth tour of the facilities, explaining the winemaking techniques employed by Dauzac, as well as offering an introduction to the terroir and the rules governing the production of Grand Cru wines in Bordeaux.

Since it was winter, our tour of the grounds was slightly limited. However, the estate is stunning even in the colder months, and we look forward to returning in more ideal weather conditions to fully explore the ample outdoor spaces that Château Dauzac has to offer.

We opted for the wine pairing with charcuterie and cheeses, which was a highlight of our visit! In France, cheese can be as complex as wine, and the pairings at Dauzac were expertly curated. The wines we tasted were relatively young for Bordeaux but exhibited excellent balance, making them very drinkable, with clear potential for aging beautifully.

One of the more interesting aspects of our tour was learning about Dauzac’s clarification process, which allows their wines to be considered vegan. Unlike many winemakers who use egg whites as a clarifying agent, Dauzac employs inert proteins derived from potatoes and chickpeas. This method preserves the wine’s profile and has the side effect of making it vegan for anyone that finds that important.

The tasting itself took place in a spacious, elegant hall. After some initial pairing guidance, our guide left us to enjoy the platter and wines at our own pace, checking in occasionally to ensure we had everything we needed. This approach felt intentional and well thought out, allowing us to savor the experience fully.

Our visit to Château Dauzac was a delightful and memorable experience. If you're in Margaux, Chateau Dauzac is a must visit!

Kind and professional explanation and tasting

Nous avons fait une super visite de château Dauzac. Alexandra a pris le temps et nous a expliqué beaucoup de choses sur le vin, la vinification et le Médoc.
Merci beaucoup, ce fut un moment très agréable.

We enjoyed the tour and the tasting. The tour guide was really nice and knowledgeable, we had a lovely conversation, learned a lot about the wine and the region. Thank you!

The whole time started badly as they had an illness of the staff and we were left trying to get in. However, once we got going it was a very interesting and informative tour. Lots of good information about the growing and production. The tastings (3) were chosen very well so that we were able to distinguish the differences between the new age (easy drinking, fruit driven) and the cellering more tanic type that will get better with age. They've embraced the need to deliver the "drink now" whilst keeping the production of the aging wines. A pity they were in a rush (due to illness of staff) as we would have liked to suck more information from the staff, but it was still a most enjoyable visit.

Nous avons profité d'une visite du domaine et des chais pendant une heure, suivi d'une dégustation. Alexandra et Chloé (en plus d'être d'excellent conseil) sont des puits de connaissances, de vraies passionnées qui ont su rendre la visite très enrichissante ! La dégustation a été un excellent moment ????Encore merci ????????

Visite du château et dégustation. Déçu par les vins testés, car incluant un blanc et un bandol. Chateau avec beaucoup de marketing (trop pour moi).

Vriendelijke ontvangst en lekkere wijnen. Juist wat jammer dat ik terplaatse een aantal flessen Grand Cru Classé en Aurore de Dauzac heb aangekocht, aangezien ik de Grand Cru Classé €13/ fles goedkoper kan aankopen bij onze lokale wijnhandel...

The place is very beautiful and the chateau itself magical. The tour was rather small and not very engaging. The tour guide was polite but not super engaged to wines. The tour did not include anything about the castle or a walk towards the exterior of the beautiful building.
Rather expensive tour for what was offered-compared to other tours we tried.
