De tour zelf was leuk en voldoende lang. Je krijgt een audiogids en rondleiding in een treintje doorheen de champagnekelders. Nadien zat een degustatie van 3 glazen mee in de prijs. Dit voelde eerder aan als een receptie in een ietswat ongezellige ruimte. Het had fijner geweest om dit buiten op te drinken met plaats om te zitten. Al bij al een fijne ervaring en vriendelijk personeel!

Mediocre champagne compared to the other champagne houses in the area. The train is cute but you have to take a long elevator ride to get there.

Es entretenida la historia de Don Mercier y todo lo que hizo en las Expos mundiales de 1879-80 con el gran tonel de Champagne y las subidas en globo para promocionar su elixir.
Entiendo que por el precio que se paga por la visita no pueden ofrecer un trato personalizado y las degustaciones son con productos standard.
Es pintoresca la bajada en el ascensor, el trencito por los túneles y las historias que cuenta el audio guide.
Las cavas subterráneas de 17km bajo las calles de Eperney son increíbles, todo un logro.
No es de élite pero vale la pena.

Fantastic tour, especially if you have kids and want something to do on a hot day. Train tour of the cellar is a must do when in the area. Book tickets far out!

This tour was by far the worst of the tours I've had in the champagne region. Our guide was lovely (she made it 2 stars) but at some points it was quite hard to properly hear what she saying. There wasn't as much explanation as with some others. Me and my girlfriend picked the vintage tasting, meaning that you would get a regular wine in this case the blanc the noirs and a vintage in this the 2007 vintage. Both were really flat and I wouldn't even consider buying these for 30 and 60 euros respectively. The wines were explained by their 'sommelier' who was wearing a WSET level 2 badge, but come on WSET level 2 isn't a sommelier. I have exactly the same level and this is for my side job, which I do alongside university. I wouldn't recommend this tour considering it was 45 euros per person.

Very cool train tour of the cellars! Seeing the big cask for champagne was pretty awesome, too. You can tell this company knows what they’re doing.

We went to Mercier for a quick glass of champagne whilst walking around Epernay.
We were greeted by Sienna on reception, her Engish was great and after getting us some drinks gave us the background of the Mercier house, super knowledgeable and friendly. Bought some Mercier to take away as a result.
Well worth a visit.

Wir waren heute mit unseren zwei kleinen Kindern dort und es hat uns allen sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Es war der perfekte Ort, um der Hitze zu entkommen - Achtung: im Keller ist es kühl, weswegen ich eine leichte Strickjacke empfehle. Interessant wäre gewesen, wenn man aktiv die Mitarbeit bei der Arbeit beobachten könnte. Etwas Abwechslung im Keller selbst wäre nett - man sieht zwar die ganzen Gänge, aber dies ist auf Dauer etwas eintönig. Die Verkostung war gut gemacht, aber ich hätte mir zwischen den Gläsern ein Glas Wasser zur Neutralisierung gewünscht. Unsere Kinder haben ein Becher mit Traubensaft bekommen und fanden diesen sehr lecker. Preis-Leistung fanden wir super ☺️

Groot champagnehuis met tour door de kelders met een treintje.
Uitleg jammergenoeg summier; nauwelijks uitleg hoe de champagne gemaakt wordt.
Er staan niet echt veel flessen in het enorme kelder complex.....roept de vraag op waar de voorraad zich wel bevindt......of is de voorraad 2024 praktisch op?
Keuring van twee soorten champagne na de tour leuk. Daarbij wel goede uitleg.
Het houten vat uit 1886 indrukwekkend; 200.000 flessen qua inhoud.

Visite dans les caves sans interes… juste une promenade en petit train. Pas d acces a l élaboration du champagne, etc. Sur place, J acheté une bouteille semi sec a 30€, allors que en grand surface on trouve la meme a 24€….

Very fun and extended tour. A big company with a large history and they use this nicesly in the tour. The champagne is okay. They make champagne for a large audience and you can tell. They play it safe with the flavours

We hebben een superleuke tour gehad bij het champagnehuis Mercier! Het bekende treintje door de indrukwekkende kelders was een echte beleving, heel bijzonder om zo door de geschiedenis en het productieproces te rijden.

De tour was niet alleen mooi en indrukwekkend, maar ook leerzaam. Als kers op de taart eindigden we met een champagneproeverij. Absoluut een aanrader als je in de Champagne-streek bent!

Je ne bois pas d'alcool ,or, la visite des caves inclue une dégustation qui du coup est facturée au prix fort.
90 euros pour mon épouse et moi.
Il faudrait prévoir une visite simple et moins chère, certe moins rentable pour la maison Mercier, mais qui respecterai les gens qui ne boivent pas.

C’est moyen, niveau peux j’en parle pas 45€ pour à peine 15minutes de cave et à la fin une dégustation, qui pour les gens comme moi qui ne boivent pas d’alcool on a le droit qu’à un jus de fruit… ( sa fait cher le jus )
Très cher pour ce que sait.
Je recommande pas.
A éviter !!! C’est une arnaque, un attrape touriste

Een mooi groot houten vat, immens grote kelder, en de audioguide is op zich ook nog leuk. Maar toch vooral gericht op het commerciële dus weinig authenticiteit. De kelders zijn bijna volledig leeg, dus waar alle flessen liggen geen idee. De tasting achteraf ging vrij snel, de ene groep na de andere. Op andere plaatsen al betere champagne geproefd dus niets meegenomen

The Mercier Champagne House is not just a tasting, it's a journey into the world of brilliant marketing, French charm and bubbles that speak for themselves. 18 km of underground cellars, an electric train and a giant barrel that visited the World Exhibition - history is in every sip.
And the champagne itself? Light, lively, with character. Just like Mercier.

My friend and I did the Bubbles tour and our guide, Sandra (I do hope I have her name correct as she was amazing), made the experience so entertaining and informative. It's fascinating to learn so much about the history and production of champagne, visit the cellars and see the big barrel. The tour also included 3 glasses of various champagne (all excellent) and Elisa, kindly explained each one. The trip cost €45, was in English and was wonderful. Highly recommended, it was a fabulous experience with wonderful hosts.

Cellar tour is one of a kind! The cutest little train takes you through an amazing cellar. The live commentary was outstanding. Afterwards the champagne tasting with the sommelier was exceptional! Highly recommend this Champagne Mercier.

Prebooked tour and double tasting which including a visit to the cellar on a train. The staff were very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. Overall an enjoyable experience and recommend.
