Excellent meal in this Michelin starred restaurant in one of the most beautiful medieval villages in France. Must try. Lovely chef & staff, who added a special treat for my kiddo who was interested in the kitchen.

Had a lovely meal here at lunch time with friends. Service was excellent and I was particularly impressed by the way they catered for two guests who can’t eat gluten.

The service and ambience were great, but we expected much more from the food, especially considering the high reviews. The egg and mushroom appetizer was great. The entrees (hake fish and duck breast) were bland and underseasoned. The texture of the gnocchi was mushy and raw. The baba rum cake was also lacking. I'm sad to leave a low review, but I just can't recommend the restaurant considering the other quality options in the nearby area.

Regis and Theo are master chefs! We love their food. Madam Ongaro, Benoit and Ana were very kind to us. Jerome found me a bottle of Chardonnay that was lovely and not expensive. Our favourite food , this visit, was the oeuff en cocotte (such comfort food), the duck cooked on straw, the fish, the rum baba, with citrus and chocolate infused rum, and the peanut and chocolate dessert with mango and passionfruit ice cream. We had a wonderful self-guided 3 hour canoe ride down the Dordogne, past lots of castles, while we were staying at la Belle Etoile.it was magic.
