Esta residencia, construida por François-Auguste Magon de La Lande, cuenta con una rotonda central y grandes chimeneas.

Construido en 1710 por el armador François-Auguste Magon de La Lande, el Chipaudière sigue perteneciendo a la familia Magon. La casa se distingue por su rotonda central y sus grandes chimeneas. El interior destaca por su escalera de hierro forjado, la carpintería de roble holandés tallada del comedor y los cuadros de Jouy del pequeño salón. Un paseo por los jardines formales y por las tres terrazas constituye una visita encantadora.

Visita guiada (1h15 del 5 de abril al 1 de noviembre de 2025, todos los días a las 15h, excepto domingos y miércoles. En julio y agosto: 10h30, 14h30 y 16h30, excepto domingos). Acceso gratuito al patio principal (lado de la llegada) de 11.30 a 17.30 h. Los jardines formales sólo están abiertos a visitas guiadas.

If you speak any other language, other than French, avoid this place. We didn't expect the host to relay everything back to us in English, but an acknowledgement or very brief introduction with a small bit of information, would have gone a long way to make our visit much more pleasurable. Even if there were laminated handouts, that could be handed out for us to read while she was addressing her French visitors, which could be handed back for other future visitors to use, would have been good. Instead we stood around, waiting for what seemed like an interminably long time in the hallway, waiting for the host to finish talking before moving on to the next room, and, my gosh, could she talk. You only had a glimpse of some of the downstairs rooms. No kitchen, just some reception rooms, that could do with a damn good clean. The gardens needed work and the pond could have been mistaken for a well mowed lawn had there not been a boat resting on it, it was green with algae. I'm sure that, what the host was talking about, was very interesting to those who could understand, but for our visit, it was a disappointment. Had we known that we wouldn't get any commentary, we wouldn't have booked. The leaflet that we picked up was written in French on one side and the other side was English, which led us to believe that we'd be included. Avoid if you can't speak the language.

Très intéressant de connaître un peu plus saint Malo et sa vie au temps des armateurs. Je vous conseille vraiment d aller faire un détour par la chipaudiere : très bon accueil, explications claires et illustrées, merci pour cette belle visite !
