RAMADA BY WYNDHAM NEW IBERIA ^{* * *}

Bath tub removed, only shower. No shelves for shampoo or razor, etc. Absolutely no hot water. The faucet is on wrong. Called maintenence but the man did nothing. Pretended he did. Tv had no picture called maintenence no one came. I jiggled cable wire, finally picture came on. Worst Ramada I've ever seen. Giving a very bad name.

We were warned not to stay here and really wished I had listened. Our 1st room was filthy with stains on the carpet, rust on all the metal, paint peeling on the bathroom ceiling and a bathroom door that would not close. The front desk gave us another room that wasn't much better.

This is a place horror stories start! Here is a short list of safety and health concerns I experienced. I hope if you are reading this review, you will steer clear of this facility.

• The room had a musty smell
• The rug was fraying and pulling away from the floor
• The rug was soiled overall (see the picture of my husband’s sock)
• All metal surfaces were rusty
• The windows and doors were dirty
• The bathroom ceiling had blisters and cracks in the paint
• There was hair on the back of the bathroom door
• The metal rod to hang clothing was flaking rust
• Metal doors, hinges and nails covered with paint were rusting through the paint
• A Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup was on the floor between the bed and nightstand
• The phone was filthy
• All the lamp shades were damaged and one had a hole in it
• The thermostat controller was dirty and had a dead mosquito on it
• Wall damage and in general the walls were not clean
• Office chair for desk was dirty, had hair and what looked like paint spatters on it
• Tile floors were dirty and made a sticky sound when walked on
• Blackout blinds were split/ripped
• Tub floor had cracks
• Bed coverings had some holes and looked worn
• One mattress had a definite valley in the center and squeaked loudly
• Chair upholstery had ground in dirt on the arm rests and was overall not clean
• Tile grout was a light gray, but in traffic areas the grout was black with grime/mildew
• There were mildew stains spotted around the tub and toilet sealant
• There was active mildew in the tub sealant and on the tile grout
• Safety bar in the tub was rusted at the join in the wall
• The manual safety latch on the entry door was broken
• Microwave was rusted and dirty

Room is decent for the money but not great by any stretch of the imagination. Staff are rude as hell. I will NEVER stay again. I’d rather sleep in my truck than give these people another penny of my money.

Didn't stay there
