Beautiful hotel/b&b with a colonial vibe, cozy rooms, rooftop and a great pool. The staff was nice and location best in town

We stayed there for a week. There was a time when the entire island had a power cut but we had electricity and a hot shower in this hotel thanks to its solar electricity system. The receptionists, restaurant staff, cleaning staff, and everyone working there were friendly with great smiles and hospitality.
The rooms were clean. We enjoyed swimming in the pool.
It is located in the city center where you can reach every tourist attraction by walking.
I'd recommend it.

It’s a nice place but you really pay to much for what you get. Now this is the case on the whole island, you pay top dollar for accommodations while it’s all dusty, old and in need of renovation.And this place is no exception. The pool is nice but in the shade for basically the whole day. The staff is very nice and the food is okay. All in all it’s one of the cheaper places to stay but I can’t help it feeling ripped off.

Das Hotel war eine Baustelle inkl. Baulärm ab dem frühen Morgen, das Frühstück einfachst, die Fenster haben den Regen durchgelassen, das Moskitonetz war viel zu klein für das Doppelbett. Obwohl wir off season dort waren, mussten wir für das sehr einfache Appartement 109 Euro pro Nacht (wir blieben 4 Nächte) berappen. Das tat einfach nur weh. Das Personal war nett, aber der "Obstsalat" bestand halt trotzdem nur aus einem geschnittenen Apfel. Auf der Fahrt zum Flughafen gab es dann noch einen unangenehmen langen Polizeistop inkl. Aussteigen, Gepäckkontrolle natürlich mit Waffe. Das Potenzial der Insel wird man so nicht nutzen können. Schade.

Ein sehr beeindruckendes Hotel das sich von einem kleinen Restaurant zu einem wahren Labyrinth von Räumen und Innenhöfen erweitert die durch eine Vielzahl von Treppen und Gängen verbunden sind. Wer die surrealistische Zeichnung von M.C. Escher, "Die Treppe" kennt wird sie dort in Wirklichkeit fast wiederfinden.
Im Moment wird noch weiter an einer Dachterasse gebaut umd man darf gespannt sein welche Überraschungen es noch in Zukunft gibt. Leider gab es nur wenig Gäste wie auch sonst im Norden von Mosambik. Das ist schade für das Land, für die Ilha de Mosambik und für das schöne Hotel.

Amo este local pelos detalhes da construção preservada a piscina é uma maravilha, sem falar do jacuzzi e bons preços.

Leider hatten wir ein Zimmer, wo kein Wasser vorhanden war. Weder duschen noch die Benutzung der Toilette waren möglich. Das Zimmer war ok aber es war muffig, riecht nach altem, nassen Holz. Aber das Personal war sehr nett und auch sehr bemüht. Leider mit begrenzten Möglichkeiten.

Room had air-conditioning, mosquito net etc. Staff is kind and helpful. Location was good for my needs. Check-in/out was fast. Building looks very nice, a lot of stairs to get to the room or dining room. Pool is available.
