One of the most beautiful places we've stayed. Clean, classy, rustic. The decor was perfect and the stay was quiet. Room was spacious and well equipped. Wished we could stay longer. A must stay!

On paper this should have been a very pleasant stay however we where greeted by " the owner"General manager " to say the least she was the most unprofessional person I have come across she was rude and had no manner of professionalism whatsoever. I do NOT recommend this hotel if you or your family want a pleasureable stay, P.S We were not the only people who had issues with the hotel. Florence on the other hand is beautiful go enjoy that.

Bella posizione.

I wanted to like this hotel as much as others but there were a few things that ruined our stay.
We booked the smaller double room based on good reviews. When we arrived it was on street level with a window opening to the road which was extremely noisy. There was a reed diffuser in the room that was the most potent smell I’ve ever encountered and aggravated my partners asthma.
There is no reception after 1 p.m. and check in is at 3 p.m. so we called the help number and explained the issues. Our only option was to move to a suite and pay the additional cost ourselves. I understand paying the cost but the room was not advertised accurately otherwise we would NEVER have booked it.
In the rooms there are no coffee machines, even the suite rooms. There were two sticks of Nescafé and no milk. I used one Nescafé and it wasn’t refreshed.
Additionally, there are reed diffusers around the whole property that are so unbelievably potent and smell terrible. It’s awful.
The breakfast is average. The bread and pastries are high processed supermarket and not tasty. Only saving grace was the cappuccino freshly made for us.
Overall, personally, I’d stay elsewhere and we left feeling disappointed.

We had previously enjoyed a lovely stay there where we had a room at the rear overlooking to courtyard. We rated it very highly and were looking forward to our return.
This time we were given a room immediately on the right of the front Entrance door. This room had a window that opened directly onto the pavement, which mean the window was about 1m away from passing traffic... the noisy cars, as Scooters! of Florence.
I hate not having fresh air but could not sleep through the noise, eventually giving up and closing the window, but alas I could not get the air conditioning to work and the thermostat was showing 22deg C, which is pretty hot for a bedroom, in December!
No matter how beautiful the room, how comfortable the bed, and how luxurious the bedding, if you cannot sleep for the noise or the heat it makes a waste of paying to sleep in a luxurious hotel.
Another small point, but worthy of mention, is that we were not offered real coffee (Cappuccino / Espresso etc) at breakfast, just pre-brewed coffee from a thermos jug. It wasn't bad, but not what you would expect from a £160/night boutique hotel ... and I'm also sure we were offered it at our last stay.
So simple advice, don't stay there unless you're sure they are giving you a quiet room!
