Edit: Response to owner. The bed was a doube, I sleep in a queen normally.
Didn't include note of stained towels, wall outlet not secured to wall, TV without working TV remote, only cable box, screw popped out on floor on the guard between rooms. Stairs to building were not salted and had ice on them. Shower was a 2' square with not enough room to clean self properly.
Yes—we chose a budget room. It gives you guys no excuse to neglect it, or any other rooms there. How does that reflect the way you treat the hotel as a whole?
Yes, we were moved to another room. Address the mold issue. I’m sure it’s not just in that bigger room. And get a cleaning crew that actually cleans the rooms.
Your reply was no surprise and reflects why the quality overall stinks even after bad reviews from months ago. Good luck-this sketchy business model will catch up soon enough.
This is by far THE WORST excuse for a hotel I have ever wasted money on in my life. This is the price to pay for trying to travel on the cheap. Gordon Ramsey would have a fit if he visited this place.
The original room we booked had non-working bedside lights, you know, the STANDARD lighting in EVERY hotel in existence? One sconce was dead, and the other didn’t even have a lightbulb. The bathroom was nasty and dusty.
We were moved to a dual queen bed room, even grosser. Dusty sink, toilet right up against the side wall so you have to maneuver your legs to use the toilet. At least the towels were clean—can’t go wrong with bleach.
The window wall had mold all around the AC unit, and the window treatment is barely hanging on for dear life.
The stairwell has ripped carpeting all around with dirty laundry bags scattered.
Our “complimentary” “breakfast” looked very sad—some dried up looking cheese and cold cuts, rock-hard/stale bagels and some yogurt. The word “bistro” in the name is a complete joke. Filthy, dungeon-like, completely obvious that the owners don’t care at all about running a hotel business.
Complete waste of money.
On top of this, knowing that the car theft situation in Montreal for US plates is off the charts, we were advised to pay $40 to park our car for the night. Reluctantly I did. I had to drive it underneath a tent with just enough clearance for my side view mirrors, cramped between the hotel and the adjacent building. This was their “secure” on-premise parking “amenity.” Can anyone spell B.S.?
Avoid this place like the plague.
Reading much older reviews with owner responses such as “We’ve noted your comments” shows the staff don’t care at all about this place.
My wife is pregnant, and with her constipation issues, the only positive that came out of this one-night entrapment was that the coffee was so bad that it helped her go right away.
Regarding the hotel, perhaps more attention should be given to room maintenance. Additionally, the breakfast menu could include simpler options. Just a suggestion.
Everything was very nice.
