Amazing experience! Everyone was very friendly and the hotel is in a great, safe location. The rooms were comfortable and the room service was great too. As a solo female traveler, I felt very comfortable!

Every single staff interaction was great, cute lobby and all that jazz. The location was very walkable to many desirable places to visit. The most upsetting part of our visit didn't happen until the morning of checkout. While picking up our room I noticed the duvet in the sunlight and nearly vomited. All the stuffing was... see the video for yourself. I was FURIOUS that my family slept with blankets in this condition THE WHOLE TRIP! The lack of transparency about the daily fees was annoying but to be expected. The hotel isn't very clear about how you can use your daily credit so that turned into $160 of wasted money on top of it all.

I really expected more from the SF W... other W hotels are sooo much nicer.

Not sure why they close the bar at midnight when there are at least ten hotel guests who want to enjoy it. We were told we had to leave on a Thursday night? Ridiculous for bar to close at a "hip hotel"

I’m going to be real here… The air ventilation in the rooms are the worst I have ever seen (and I’ve stayed at so many hotels in Vegas). It’s so bad, you can go to the bathroom (air on and door open), leave for 2+ hours, come back and still distinctly smell it throughout the room (which is so embarrassing if you’re planning to have company).

Not to mention the view in my room was pointless because the windows from the outside are insanely dirty. It seems like they have neglected to hire window washers for a long time.

I expect sooooo much more from a property at this price point.

Not for business travelers - the wifi is terrible and the desk chair is an uncomfortable stool. We had a group of 20 for a business event and none of us could get reliable wifi anywhere in the building.

The rooms are otherwise clean. Spacious, and with very nice bathrooms. Highly recommend for non-business travel.

First time staying at a W and after this, certainly won’t be the last. Really sleek fun design with stocked mini bar and good bar/restaurant. Especially nice to have the bar later at night since the area is more of a daytime business neighborhood. Love the perk of free contemporary art museum admission!

The W is sensational!!!! I love staying here in a high floor! ????????????. Service is impeccable. I've stayed at least 3 times in the past 2 years and each time it's a treat. If you like a semi soft bed you'll love it. The only critique I have is that the needs are not the size that are advertised online. We booked to Queens and we were disappointed to find two full sized beds. The windows don't even crack slightly so if you're like me and you like fresh air to circulate - that's not happening lol. And last just be mindful of the neighborhood. SF isn't as glamorous as you see in the movies. As I was walking to the hotel from the SFMOMA parking lot I saw someone bip a cat parked in the street. So just make sure you take all valuables with you and do NOT leave any type of bags in your car. Some people just resort to rolling down their windows and leaving them parked like that. Just be safe! ????????

If you care about your money you must be constantly vigilant to avoid this hotel’s concerted effort to take it from you. Beware the $40 per day added fee. Don’t believe them when they tell you you can use it for room service, they will add fine print fees and tricks so that your $40 credit doesn’t cover the dry, cold cookies that the menu lists at $30 (for 2 orders). It’s too bad that an otherwise very pleasant hotel experience is so marred by dishonesty. (Yes, this is now common practice in big city hotels. It’s probably unavoidable. I write it here to try to foil their secrecy.) Also double check the in room snack bar. An item from ours went missing and I’m sure we would have been charged for it if I hadn’t caught it.

San Francisco is a beautiful place. The traffic is horrible though. There is such much to see. The "W" Hotel is beautiful! The atmosphere is so warm and it's a place where you can relax and have a cocktail with co-worker's or friend's. I truly enjoyed going there although it was work related. No room there, just a work related event but please, do visit if you can. You won't regret it. ????

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious and cozy. It is an excellent location and we felt safe in the neighborhood. The breakfast was delicious, and the service staff were nice. You can choose this hotel for both work and pleasure.

I was on the 25th floor. The room was Beautiful & clean. The staff is Fantastic. Jp at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. Also I had the avacado toast. It was Outstanding and pretty. I will be back to stay.

Great location with super-easy access to Moscone Center, excellent restaurants and public transport. The rooms were great, but I did take one star off because my room happened to have a recurring issue with the TV. Maybe more/better maintenance is needed.

I had a wonderful time in the W SF. The room was clean,well stocked and quiet, despite my room facing the main road. I received a daily allowance of USD40 (but didn’t use any of it ????) for food/drinks. The breakfast (ala carte) had good variety. I will certainly stay here again if I am back in SF.

I stayed at W San Francisco yesterday to avoid midnight drive to my home after the concert by San Francisco symphony.
The advantage of this hotel is just convenient location, adjacent to MoMA.
However, the room quality is very simple like IBIS of Accor Group, unlike other Ws.
If you stay at marriot group hotels in this district, I would recommend to stay at marriot marquis or union square.
Complementary breakfast for platinum members is limited menu consisting of avocado toast and one drink(coffee or orange juice). If you do not choose this menu, you will choose 15 USD for each guest.
