Great views and great service. Was at top floor overlooking the river and new York. Could hear the sound of the waves and was super calming. A highly recommended spot/get away, yet close enough to the city center. Highly recommend.

Great location! Quick drive to the ferry and really nice views of the NY skyline and Verrazzano bridge. Moe, the inn keeper, was so accommodating! He made sure we were able to get in upon arrival when he was out of the house and provided very early coffee and breakfast items when we had to leave at 6:30am one morning. The house is old, rooms are not fancy at all and need updating, but clean, good mattress, a hot shower, and the price is right!

Probably, one of the few hidden gems in New York, with this type of accommodation. Staten Island may be a bit off the radar and is an ideal place if you’re after something simple and Peaceful after a busy day sightseeing in the city. You can enjoy the great view of New York from the porch, while having breakfast. Rooms may look a bit tired but it does the job. Beds are comfortable and value is reasonable too.

The location was easily accessible by public transit or by car. The ferry ride to Manhattan was great. The house and rooms themselves are quite nice, good value for money, and the host is very easy going. I enjoyed the view of the sunrise over the Hudson River illuminating the skyscrapers every morning, and the multiple ships in the water. I would definitely stay here again
