David and Marie were nice guests and they welcomed us with a drink that was highly appreciated.
I am so sorry I am only giving 3 stars to this place but I can elaborate on my experience here:
-Positive things: the rooms were comfortable and clean and the toilets were nice too and inside the room. The garden and common areas were well looked after and we had full access to the kitchen and also to a place where we can wash clothes. The ambiance in general was nice.
-Negative things: The hosts gave us the trays with dinner and disappeared. They told us we had to wash our dishes after dinner. Many references stated that David is very enthusiastic about showing people around town, but he never offered us to do this (this is one of the reasons why I chose this accommodation, I thought it was going to be more local experience). In the morning, we found our breakfast on the table and there were notes saying "homemade confiture", but we realized it was not homemade. We left at 8:30 and didn't see our hosts. The restaurant is not working as a restaurant (at least not the day we arrived), but in the website it says it is working.
I don't mean it was a bad place, just that we were expecting something different related to the care that the owners put in the Auberge.
