Esta hermosa casa de pueblo, cuya parte más antigua data del siglo XV, está cargada de historia. Está gestionada por la asociación Fermat Science, que trabaja para dar a conocer la obra y el legado del matemático Pierre de Fermat, nacido en Beaumont-de-Lomagne en 1607. La asociación también se esfuerza por hacer que las matemáticas sean accesibles y divertidas a través de exposiciones, talleres educativos y eventos científicos. The brachistochrone demonstration could benefit from an overview of how Bernoulli, in his proof that the brachistochrone is the cycloid, used Fermat's principle of least time for light refraction. This ties in both Fermat's method of maxima and minima (which anticipates the infinitesimal calculus) and his work on light. I recognize that of course it is not possible to include _everything_ in a museum!
