I'm still fuming after our recent visit to Polidor. The food was undeniably delicious, but the atrocious behavior of the host completely ruined our dining experience. By the way the servers were lovely. ♥️
As we entered, instead of a warm welcome, the host curtly told us to close the door because cold air was entering. I understand the concern, but his tone was abrupt and inconsiderate, especially towards my 80-year-old mother who has limited mobility.
But the worst part was yet to come. As we were being seated, the host carelessly pushed a chair, which nearly caused my mother to fall. I was shocked and appalled by his recklessness and lack of concern for her well-being.
Throughout our meal, the host's behavior remained dismissive and unfriendly. It was clear that he was more interested in turning tables than providing decent service.
The food, as I mentioned earlier, was excellent. However, the host's appalling behavior and lack of empathy towards my elderly mother have left a sour taste in my mouth.
*To the management of Polidor:*
I hope you take our experience seriously and take immediate action to address the host's behavior. Elderly customers, like my mother, deserve respect, care, and compassion. It's unacceptable to prioritize efficiency over customer safety and well-being.
Until then, I would not recommend Polidor to anyone, especially those with elderly or disabled family members.
We were seated and asked what we were looking for, responded white wine. We were given two different wines to try and not told what they were and when served the waiter turned the bottles away from us. We asked, turned out to be the two most expensive on the menu.
They were okay nothing special so I just asked for a glass of the Chardonnay and was told I had no class. We called the waiter out for his rudeness and he refused to apologise so we left. Maybe don’t have Chardonnay on the menu if it’s not ‘classy’.
There are better places in Paris - like literally anywhere.
Je trouve que la nourriture pas mal. Le service était correct. Mais en général, je trouve quand-même que ça coûte bien trop cher pour ce qu'il est proposé. Bien sûr qu'il faut compter sa date de naissance dans ce prix là :)
