LE CLOS DU VIVIER

Très bel endroit avec un très beau jardin fleuri et entretenu. Les propriétaires ont à cœur de bien vous accueillir et prennent soin à ce qui ne vous manque rien pendant le séjour. Nous avons louez le gîte qui est d'un grand confort et totalement équipé. Nous avons juste eu à déposer nos valises. Merci à Dominique et Nicolas pour leur investissement et pour avoir "pris soin de nous".

We loved Le Clos du Vivier and our two night stay here was the perfect start to our Normandy holiday. Dominique and Nicolas really are the most wonderful hosts and couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome. Nicolas speaks excellent English (thank you!) and we enjoyed some interesting conversations with him. He also gave us lots of information on places to visit, such as the beautiful and not-to-be-missed village of Veules-les-Roses, as well as recommendations on where to eat (be aware that most restaurants are closed on Mondays).||The house is stunning and surrounded by a beautiful, idyllic garden where hens are free to roam. We stayed in the spacious ground floor room (Garden Room) which is an en suite, twin bedded room, decorated in traditional French style. The beds were very comfortable, with good quality bedding, and we slept well. Although there was no hospitality tray in the room, there was a fridge and kettle in the dining room where you could help yourself to complimentary hot and cold refreshments. There’s also a comfortable sitting room for guests’ use, with lots of books and magazines (French language only, I think). It’s perhaps worth pointing out that, although our room is classed as a twin room, a doorway from inside the room leads to an adjoining small room where there is a third bed which, I would say, makes that particular accommodation an ideal choice for a family. ||Each room has direct access to a private terraced area of the garden, complete with table and chairs, where breakfast can be taken each morning. If the weather is poor, or maybe if guests prefer (as was the case with a group of guests when we were staying), breakfast is taken inside the house at a large table which, I assume, is a communal table for all guests to share. However, we were lucky as the sun shone for the entire time we were there and taking breakfast, at a time to suit us, in the tranquility of the garden was an absolute joy. Breakfast was typically French and delicious, consisting of eggs from the resident hens, fresh fruit, fresh bread, a selection of homemade preserves and yoghurt. The hosts have a number of beehives and we had hoped to buy some of the honey to take home but, disappointingly, the honey wasn’t quite ready to be harvested.||There really is everything you could wish for at Le Clos du Vivier. The location is idyllic and so peaceful, yet, at the same time, it’s very close to the lovely village of Valmont, with its bakery and Michelin restaurant, whilst many of the region’s beaches and town, such as Fécamp and Étretat, are easily accessible by car. My friend and I had a wonderful, relaxing stay; enjoying the leisurely breakfasts in the gorgeous garden at Le Clos du Vivier will remain a lasting memory of our Normandy holiday.

Nous y avons passé un merveilleux week end en avril. Environnement et jardin magnifique, très au calme. On se sent tout de suite tellement bien à l'intérieur ! Accueil des plus agréables et chaleureux, toujours prêts à nous renseigner ou à nous donner des conseils pour que notre séjour soit parfait. Les petit déjeuners étaient également délicieux et très copieux. Nous recommandons vivement!

Accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires....on se sent vite chez soi...une belle longere Normande entouré d un beau jardin où se trouve Indy le magnifique chat de la famille..très affectueux!!
Ne pas oublier le linge parfumé !!1 bonne adresse à retenir avec frigo et micro-ondes..
Une charmante promenade aussi le long de la rivière..

Nous avions la chambre du bas, située sur un jardin fantastique. Où vous pourriez facilement trouver votre propre table et coin. La chambre était joliment décorée, très spacieuse et propre. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux avec des fruits frais et du pain frais, des confitures maison, des yaourts et des œufs de poulets en liberté. Nous avions loué des vélos électriques pour deux jours. Une piste cyclable passe sur l'ancienne voie ferrée de l'autre côté de la rue. À Fécamp, la côte est une belle route de 13 km et l'autre côté va à un certain nombre d'autres lieux (de baignade). Nicolas et sa mère sont très accueillants, attentionnés et sympathiques. Fortement recommandé pour quelques jours!
