En una pequeña calle de Montrichard se abre una espectacular sala que combina con alegría una decoración moderna y clara con la piedra de tamaño y las vigas centenarias que suben hasta el techo de una altura vertiginosa, testigos de su antiguo pasado de capilla del siglo XII. El establecimiento ofrece pizzas, ensaladas y crepes que combinan Italia con Bretaña a pocos metros del Cher. Todas las pizzas clásicas están presentes, pero los amantes de los caracoles pueden probar a Francisco Ier más local, por supuesto, los vegetarianos no se olvidan. En las ensaladas, la Donjon reserva la sorpresa del camembert caliente mezclado con el magret ahumado. Las tortas también tienen un toque local con Touraine y su anacillette. They helped us to understand the menu options, gave great recommendations, and were willing to joke and laugh with us as we figured out what we wanted to order. We enjoyed the experience and food enough that we returned later in the week.
The Mont Savoyard was an excellent burger with ham, bacon, potato fritter and cheese. Make sure to get the double because you have been walking so much, you need the fuel. The Mont Seigneur is an interesting burger with foie gras and sundried tomatoes. If you are hesitant to try foie gras, this is a great way to go for it. If you don't like it, it is easy to brush off and still enjoy the burger. The steak was well prepared. The Chicken Sandwich (single) was excellently fried with a fried egg. Top any of it off with any of the desserts. The Carmel or American Ice creams provide plenty, as well as the Cafe Gourmand which provides an espresso with a sampling of 2 or 3 other desserts. The Mousse de Chocolate was a table favorite, though I was partial to the Il Flottante, a delicious combination of soft meringues floating in a dish of creme anglaise.
