We had to wait over 15 minutes at the entrance, with the waiter passing us by multiple times, and when we asked if it was okay if we went in by ourselves, we got a really snarky response.I don't know what her deal is, but she also speaks incredibly fast and mumbles. French is my third language and I could enjoy my trip in Lille speaking French just fine, albeit with mistakes. She was the one and only person I had trouble understanding because she wouldn't slow down, and when I apologized for not speaking French very well, she rolled her eyes at me and replied that she could tell my French was bad. Then she asked if we wanted to eat or drink (I think, again, she was hard to understand) and when we said we'd like to eat, she sneered we'd have to wait then. All of the tables were also very unsanitary.
She walked away and we had to wait so long for her to take our order that we left. Maybe it's for the better, because she'd probably sneer she didn't understand my French, anyway.
