We really enjoyed our visit to Chateau on the Bayou. The location is really central to all of the great things to do and see here. Ms. Claudette is a walking encyclopedia of great things to do and see when you are here. We saw two great plantations and took a fantastic air boat ride with an outfit called Air Boat Rides by Arthur. We would certainly visit again.

We enjoyed our stay at A Chateau on the Bayou. We had lovely accommodations and were treated to good food and sweet conversation during our 2 night visit to the Thibodeaux/ Raceland area.

Il posto è fantastico,rilassante e a pochi minuti di distanza si trova tutto ,la signora clodette è molto ospitale e gentile,nulla da dire sulla pulizia e i servizi ,e abbiamo potuto scegliere tra due camere,una interna alla casa dove abita la padrona ,e una depandance esterna ,abbiamo optato per questa e ci siamo trovati bene ,il giardino esterno è fantastico...che dire: consigliato al 100x100

A lovely stop in Houma where we were treated like royalty by Claudette at the "Chateau on the Bayou".
The rooms are very comfortable, and the breakfast is hearty and homemade. If you stop here, don't forget to enjoy the garden and the terrace overlooking the river. A soothing and very pleasant place halfway through our journey from New Orleans to Miami.

I am a return guest. Beautiful home and a wonderful hostess. The Château on the Bayou is very peaceful. I saw an eagle having my coffee one morning. This was my second stay and the room, food, and hospitality were wonderful. I stayed in the outside room and it was wonderful. Coffee, water, Claudette, and special touches make this one of my favorite places to stay.

Claudette nous a accueillie à bras ouverts.
Nous avons même eu le choix de la chambre qui, d'ailleurs, était très confortable.
Les petits déjeuners sont au top et suffisants pour attaquer la journée.
Nous avons été bien conseillé par Claudette.
Nous avons aimé bavarder avec elle, ça change d'un Motel/Hôtel.

Miss Claudett has been a wonderful host during our 4 day stay. The Chateau B&B is a perfect location to view this wonderful area. There is so much to see and do, and Miss Claudett is a great host in making suggestions. We highly recommend staying here on the bayou.

You sleep well, you feel good.

Claudette is like your vacation mom, who makes you a great breakfast, tells you great stories and even teaches you how to pick pecans.

It was a pleasure staying at Ms. Claudette’s Bed & Breakfast. She was a fabulous host and made sure we had everything we needed. Our son absolutely loved the hammock! It was nice to sit at the pavilion and relax. If you ever visit, give Ms. Claudette a call.

A Chateau on the Bayou is an oasis of pure comfort and relaxation about a half an hour away from New Orleans. I struggle to think of any reason not to stay there. The Host is a kind hearted person who knows the area so you can expect a warm welcome as well as highly usefull information for your stay. Five stars, no doubt.
Thank you Claudette for the incredibly memorable stay.

We had a wonderful stay here! The rooms are very comfortable and clean with everything you could need. Claudette our host is lovely with loads of great recommendations for the area and she makes an awesome breakfast! Would definitely recommend!

Miss Claudette ist einfach wundervoll und umsorgt ihre Gäste mit allem was sie brauchen und tollen Infos für Unternehmungen. Leckeres Frühstück, saubere Zimmer! Dieses B&B liegt wunderbar zentral um z. B. eine Sumpftour zu unternehmen oder zum Strand von Golf von Mexico zu fahren. Außetdem bietet das B&B ein schönes Außengelände.

A little slice of heaven! What a treasure on the bayou- Claudette is an amazing host specializing in southern hospitality. She was a gem to visit with and cooks up a lovely breakfast in the morning. I feel like we stayed at a friend's house and I will look for a reason to return. I could get used to relaxing on the bayou!! Thanks for everything!!!! Anne and Todd

It is a beautiful, safe, quiet, and private bed and breakfast. The breakfast we were served was delicious and filling.
The room accommodations were more than satisfactory. We had everything we needed for the nights that we stayed.

Six of us, two families, were comfortably accommodated with room for bigger groups. My family stayed in the upstairs bedrooms which were quiet and beautifully decorated, with everything we needed. Charming and everything tip top clean. The kitchen is open and welcoming for breakfast. The showstopper is the back yard—a deep porch with rocking chairs, multiple seating areas, shaded dock with seating, rocking chairs, swing, and a hammock between two trees for someone who just wants to hang out. Plenty of parking. Claudette makes elegant, delicious breakfasts from scratch, and bent over backward to accommodate our vegan and vegetarian family members. Truly a lovely person who shares her beautiful home. Ideal location for visiting amazing multiple historic sugar cane plantations nearby, and popping into New Orleans and surrounding areas.
