I was there on March 15-16 for a job trip. I LOVED this place????. It is a wonderful hotel. The beds are so soft I wanted to take it home with me. I was sad to leave it. It was like a small apartment, there was even a dishwasher, dishes, and full fridge and freezer! I wonder what kind of mattresses they have? I say again I absolutely loved that big soft bed. And my co worker and I had separate bedrooms, each with their own bathroom! And the breakfast area is great with a variety of food and drinks. They also have some drink and food items you can buy like a tiny grocery store. People at the front desk were nice.
Comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable and the pillows. We stayed in a two bedroom with a living area. Each room has a king or queen bed and a large bathroom. The little couch in the living area also had a pull out. Bathrooms were renovated and the showers had great pressure.
Nice breakfast. Good pool and a basketball court. Lots of parking. Friendly check in.
Got locked out of my wifes room. Manager told me she could not ring room. I was stranded outside. Her phone was on silent. She should not manage anything. I was prepared to sleep in my truck. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.
Location good but rooms not good. Looks like ancient building and heater smelled like spider web burning and we had to off it. Whole property needs rebuild. Not worth more that 70$ per night.
I am pleased to review this Residence Inn for my 2 night stay. First, the staff I interacted with, at reception and the breakfast area, were friendly, welcoming, and helpful! The grounds are well maintained and pleasant. As another reviewer noted, the rooms are located across two buildings and do have more of an "apartment" feel than a hotel feel. I found this to be an excellent arrangement, as I experienced zero noise from my neighboring rooms or the room above. My one bedroom "suite" was comfortable and the bed was very comfortable. I did not use the kitchenette, other than the fridge for storing my beverages, but I can see this would be useful for someone wanting to take advantage of this amenity. I found the breakfast to be pleasing, with fruit, oatmeal, grits, scrambled eggs, bacon, little quiche cups, and a variety of bread options available. My room, bathroom, and the entire facility I found to be very clean. I would absolutely stay here again when visiting New Orleans.
Terrible experience. We were there for 3 nights. The internet was in and out all the time (mostly out). In fact I couldn't post this review without waiting 15 minutes. The receptionist said the modem is locked in the engineering room and can't be reset until tomorrow (after I check out). The fire alarm went off twice (both false). The bathroom had mold and the whole place smelled. We were here because my son is in ICU in this town. We are moving to the Marriott Lakeway tomorrow. PS - I tried to post this twice but the internet was out both times. #FAIL
I had two rooms. One the ac was horrible and barely worked. The room was very humid. The pull out bed was covered in dog hair and the main bed sheets smelled bad. The second room was better but we had a random sock sticking out from under the couch left by the previous guests. Staff was very nice.
I like this hotel but the only disappointment is that they don’t have any waffles, pancakes, muffins, bacon, etc at this hotel in the breakfast area. They have only oatmeal, eggs, chicken sausage, bagels, and stuff that isn’t good. Highly don’t recommend the breakfast. They BARELY have anything.
The pool, basketball court, fitness center, and rooms are epic. No ice machine either but the staff are very friendly. The refrigerator barely makes any ice. Beds are very comfortable to sleep on, highly recommend this place. But the breakfast is a disappointment!!
Great hotel. Seems more like apartments then a hotel. The double rooms have 2 bedrooms, each with their own bath. One has a shower and the other a tub/shower combo. The is a living room area with full kitchen (fridge, stove, oven, sink, dishwasher, tables, chairs, utensils and cabinets). Small office space in main area. Single rooms are all in one studio. The is a pool, basketball court, bbq area, free parking, fitness gym, computer area and complementary full breakfast. Room service is available 3 days a week. Lots of restaurants in area, walking distance. 2 minutes from I10. 5 mins to mall and shopping. Highly recommend this hotel.
We had a great experience at this Marriott. We stayed for 3 nights. We opted to not have our room cleaned/restocked each day, but every-time we ran out of something the front desk was very timely and accommodating. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a little different each day and was hot and fresh. This hotel is also dog friendly ($100 per stay) so it was great to be able to bring our dog with.
Clean rooms, good quality beds and linens, and thick enough walls that we couldn’t hear our neighbors. We would definitely stay here again!
Didn't have a handicap room available but one will be open soon. They booked us to get it. They also helped to get my Marriott award program working. Tvs didn't work but mechanics fixed them quickly. Went to one breakfast buffet and it was wonderful. They had eggs, grits and quiche. So far a good experience. Restaurants close by along with a shopping mall. Can quickly get to Ochsner Transplant center. So wonderful for us.
Clean hotel. Great location; close enough to New Orleans for a ten-ish minute drive, but far enough for it to be a little quieter than in the city. Kind staff, clean rooms. The fitness center is good, but needs mats for floor exercises. Breakfast was decent, but waffles not being offered on weekdays was weird. Also, the only free water is in the fitness center. But, overall I enjoyed my stay!
Nice breakfast. Good pool and a basketball court. Lots of parking. Friendly check in.
