A beautiful place to go when you are new to the area, there staff is very helpful to us and they have a good restroom too.

They were closed over the holidays. It would have been nice if they had tourist literature outside the building. Very hard to find information on Lake Charles in the area.

Well - when we arrived (based on the hours posted online)…they were closed, so we were disappointed.
The sign on the door stated that they were closed for the holidays.
We will need to try again another time.

Very helpful and comfortable place. Hot coffee, cool alligator art. Staff helped us right away, answered questions and gave tips that fit us personally.

I stopped by on my way to Lake Charles during my getaway in the week of Thanksgiving. It is on the roadside off I-10, nice building with the lake just in the back so you can walk along. Not many people inside at the time. Two ladies at reception were very friendly and welcoming. Another staff member (a young girl but I forgot to ask for her name) volunteered to take photos for me with a lovely alligator statue. I’d take the opportunity of Thanksgiving to thank them????Bought a few souvenirs - wherever I visit I always grab a local mug and a pair of local cards to play back home????

Beware, the police departent violates peoples civil rights and the people in the town hall are stupid and mean. go somewhere else.

Came by to get some info about the area. Was pleasantly surprised that there are several interesting decorations and pieces of local arts and crafts inside. Staffers were friendly and helpful and answered our questions. Bought a little souvenir magnet that we liked. We could walk around to the back of the building to view the water. Definitely a good place for visitors.
