I was totally satisfied even though the hotel was under renovation. Totally touch less made my reservation through the app got key entryway through the app and checked out through the app. It was a wonderful experience.
Everything was great, from check in to departure. The 4th floor room was recently renovated so it was awesome. Towels cleaned and clean sheets. I bring sheets and cleaning supplies when I stay at hotels, but nothing was needed. Will return. This was my March 16 birthday getaway.
We came into town to deal with my mom's estate. Katie and her team at Homewood Suites took amazing care of us. We came to her because we had an issue that we couldn't deal with at our other hotel and she took care of us. They made the last 5 days of our stay wonderful. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, they have a little shop for things you might have forgotten, or ran out of, plus snacks, drinks and meals for the microwave. I can't wait to see what the do with their renovation!
True professionals needed assistance, and the wonderful people who were managing the front desk earlier in the day did an outstanding job taking care of my needs.
Great customer service, it was my first time in Slidell Louisiana, we were there for a friend's birthday and she wanted to go to Bay St Louis in Mississippi.
There was a cockroach in the room, but the lady at front desk was very nice and quickly helped us find a new room. However, this hotel seems need to be renovated. The fabric of chairs in the breakfast area is torn.
For years this has been our go to hotel. This time our stay didn’t live up to the expectations. First one of our rooms was changed to a different floor after we had both our rooms setup to be on the same floor. Then came mold and an occasional foul sewage type smell in the bathroom. Trying to overlook the small issues we remained positive about our stay. The couple of days we were there a group of people seemed to be hanging out drinking and smoking in the parking lot. The parking lot wasn’t full so we went about our stay until last night around 11 pm when the group decided it was ok to lean on our vehicle while they were hanging out. We went down to the front desk to discuss the situation and ask if they were guests of the hotel. The attendant seemed to be short and dismissive and said she would have housekeeping go out and talk to them. We went back to our room and watched as the front desk attendant walked outside and spoke with this group of people who then still proceeded to hang out in the parking lot. This morning we checked out of the hotel a day early after speaking to a different attendant at the front desk. He didn’t seem surprised when I expressed my displeasure and reason for checking out a day early. It’s almost like this is a normal occurrence at Homewood Suites these days as nobody seemed to be alarmed in any way. Not only did we have to be inconvenienced by keeping an eye on our vehicle last night but we also had to disrupt family vacation to relocate to a nearby Holiday Inn. After all the years of good reviews we’ve come down to this. Such a shame.
