This place put 3 able bodied adults in the disabled body room. The shower was terrible. I made this reservation over a month ago. Why were we in the room that was wheelchair accessible? There's no breakfast here like the other candlewood hotels. Staff let children scream in the hallways. The pool area was a disaster and not usable on account of children making a huge mess. Wasted my points staying here. This place felt ghetto to us.

My husband and I are full time rv’ers and we had an issue with our motorhome that sent it to the mechanics and us to this extended stay hotel with our two dogs. I was greeted by Danielle upon check in who was both helpful and kind. On the walk to our room we commented how clean the hotel looked. This extended to our room, which was immaculate. There were kitchen appliances you could “check out” like a lending library but for crock pots and toaster ovens. The only thing that could have made our stay better would have been a couch or accent chair. If we find ourselves in the area and need to hole up for a while in a hotel, this will be our choice. Oh, I nearly forgot, FREE laundry service. Five star for Danielle and Candlewood ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As someone that travels often, I have to say this was the best hotel stay ever! Staff was friendly and room was very clean! Danielle was awesome and made sure our stay was an awesome experience! Will be coming back????

The Candlewood Suites on Northshore Blvd in Slidell, LA is absolutely terrible. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Staff was very rude and obnoxious. Do not feel welcome at all. TV doesn't work 99% of the time and when it does work it has these strange circles so can't even enjoy it. Room smells terrible. Floor was dirty when we got here. As a mom with an infant, it was dangerous to find little pieces of things on the floor. It's almost as if they never even cleaned it and just pretended to make the beds. Beds are rock hard. Almost better to sleep on the floor. Breakfast isn't offered. WILL NEVER COME BACK AFTER THIS!!!! I'll stick to Holiday Inn!

I had a short stay here at the Candlewood Suites and it was a great experience. I was greeted by Ash who was kind and welcoming. He was very helpful in my situation, I wanted to call it a night from driving 12+ hours on the road, and Ash provided the best customer service and helped me reserve a room. The room was clean, smelled great, informed me about the amenities, etc. overall great experience and great customer service.

Can't really have a 5 star hotel in an area that is below sea level. The water is tainted with some type of greasy oil and was tinged reddish. I can assume the sediment, but I didn't test it. The room we received was near an exit and the door would constantly slam shut all hours of the day and night. I have two Pomeranians who are really quiet, except when they heard the door slam. Not the best for the price, I just am loyal to Candlewood Suites and am an IHG member

Ugh. Dirty, ratty, worn rooms that make you wonder all night long if you will have bed bugs tomorrow. Pervasive smell of mildew in the room that I can smell in the car now the next morning. Morning service was friendly enough but they didn't know why the sheriff's department was in the hallway with hands on weapons. Evening agent was dismissive to the point of rudeness. Never again.

Our room looked and smelled very clean! There was no evidence of bugs. The hotel seemed to be full but it was still quiet. That was nice! I would not recommend this hotel for just a one night stay over its definitely an extended stay hotel. The price is cheaper but by the time you buy your breakfast somewhere and ice for your coolers you would come out better just to stay elsewhere!

Location was near the highway. The most awful night I’ve ever had in a hotel. There were two spotlights that illuminated the parking lot outside our window and the curtains were only decorative and didn’t close so the room was light up all night. What was worse, I got flee bites all over my legs! I do NOT recommend this hotel.

I have to give full credit to whomever the staff member was that was working on Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving in the evening. She noticed that my son had a new tattoo and that it was starting to peel and she gave him some moisturizer for it and then gave him a tube that is going above and beyond. The room is starting to look a little rag tag. The carpeting is got holes in it. Other than that it was good

Don't stay in this place folks! Their Wi-Fi sucks! No Wi-Fi! You can't close the window curtains completely so you can't sleep well or long with the lights outside glaring! And the hallway and room stinks! We wished we stayed at the holiday inn!

I advise anyone who is considering this hotel for a stay to first turn on the water in the room. It’s BROWN. Management told me that it was healthy water and had minerals in it. I would not take a shower, bathe, or brush my teeth. I travel extensively ( 100 nights a year) and have never experienced anything like this.
Highly recommend you stay elsewhere.
