Encantador hotel en Covington, el sur decorado y amueblado en un estilo descrito como misionero, el lugar es francamente magnífico
Inaugurado en 1907, este encantador hotel está profundamente arraigado en la historia de Covington. Cerrado en 1960 y que entonces albergaba tanto una farmacia como oficinas gubernamentales, se reabrió a bombo y platillo en 2014. Manteniendo un cierto espíritu de la época, el Sur está decorado y acondicionado en un estilo calificado de misionero, en referencia a los españoles que llegaron a finales del siglo XVIII para evangelizar estas nuevas tierras. El lugar es absolutamente magnífico y la atención al detalle es evidente en todo. No se pierda el nuevo restaurante, The Gloriette, que abrirá en 2022.

Great rum selection and good rum drinks. We enjoyed talked Star Wars with on of the bartenders. The bar is beautiful.

I love classic hotels with porcelain bathrooms, real carpentry, and sophistication. They seem to have a charm and history to them and it makes for a nicer stay, overall. Hotels that feel as though they've been around for a while are always a welcome change from the sterile, cool character of a modern property. Was only there for a short time, but long enough to wholeheaetedly recommend.
