We picked this hotel because of the retro tiki vibe and because it came up on the list of family friendly hotels in the area. We were pretty excited at check in, the lobby and pool area are pretty awesome. Then we got to our room. Seriously disappointed. I guess it was clean but they are seriously out dated and not very nice. One of the outlets worked a quarter of the time we were there, they don’t have outlets by the beds like typical hotels. No dressers. The beds were ok but the pillows were terrible.
I don’t know if it was the time we went but we were the only people with a child and we were getting a lot of dirty looks at the pool and other areas.

Stopped in at Valentine's Day to go get something at the reef wanted to say hello to Jose but he was out that day it's always a pleasurable time at The Reef

This is an absolute gem from another time. If you’re expecting the Four Seasons, this definitely isn’t it, however the rooms are clean, staff is excellent and the grounds / hot tub / pool / The Reef bar are fantastic for any tikiphile. It’s got an incredible retro vibe, and is very well maintained for the age of the hotel.
