DoubleTree is an American brand so I expected an American level of service. That's not at all what I received. Check in girl was extremely rude and not accommodating and made us wait to check in because the room wasn't available. She said 30 minutes but then never told us the room was available and we had to go up the desk and check and it was ready. She gave us 1 cookie when 2 of us were checking in (and right there in front of her). The cookie was terrible and not like normal DoubleTree cookies that we usually look forward to. Spa was mediocre. They just like to shoot orders and tell you what to do all of the time instead of just letting you enjoy the experience. They are so crazy about germs that it makes getting a massage uncomfortable. The masseuse wears gloves, they use very uncomfortable material on the massage table and as a sheet that's on top of you. Get over yourselves. Covid is over but this place acts like it's still in full swing. Quality of the breakfast was terrible and staff hovered way too much. The Colombian way of giving service is for people to be present and on top of you and in your personal space but to always say no to requests and make everything as difficult as possible. The American way of service is leave you alone but make everything as easy as possible as always try to accommodate your requests when you make them. This place has a lot to learn.

We spent three nights here.
The hotel seems to be very new. The room was large, clean and we had a nice view.

Unfortunately, the breakfast has not many choices, especially as a vegan you can have a toast with some jam and that’s it. There are no extra labels with ingredients/allergies.
Service was friendly but not very fast. When I ordered black coffee I got coffee with milk…

Everything else is definitely recommended!

The resteraunt staff at night is horrible. Extremely slow and spent more time talking than assisting customers. The talipia was very salty.

The short middle aged woman help the taxi driver scam me out of $20usd for a ride from the airport. The was very nonchalant about it.

The shuttle is never on time. I waited 2 hours and they never showed up but lied about being stuck in traffic. I saw shuttle come 4 times before with the 2 hour period.

The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this location.

Hicimos el Plan Aniversario y fue una gran experiencia en todo sentido. Las habitaciones son estupendas. La comida es deliciosa aunque ligeramente costosa. El spa es espectacular. Excelente cerveza de barril y música en vivo fines de semana.
