A nice little corner restaurant. For dinner I had the black spaghetti with octopus, tomatoes and black olives. The white wine is amazing, it's a proper local Venitian wine, called 'Ferrari Aromatica'. It's excellent.
For dessert I had the Venitian biscotti which is a plate of Venitian biscuits that comes with its own little sweet wine called 'un bicchiere di Verduzzo'.

Update: Second visit
For a starter I had Fried Squid with lagoon vegetables and Balsamic vinegar.
For my main dish, I had Cuttlefish in black ink with soft white organic polenta.
It was amazing. It's so delicious.
To go with that, I had a special Venitian red wine called 'Valpollicella Repasso'.
For dessert I had the dark chocolate cake with pistachio cream accompanied by 'Amari classici', which is a sweet Venetian spirit that you drink to go with desserts. Very strong and very sweet.

One of the finest dining experiences in Venice.
I highly recommend it.

Locale di buon gusto con parvenza di una cabina di nave e bellissimo affaccio sulla piazza. La proprieraria di origine lombarda e il personale sono molto gentili. Abbiamo scelto insieme al Prof Orsi,mio collega questo ristorante per il pranzo di un liceo di eccellenza. Si possono assaggiare piatti particolari della tradizione veneziana come scampi e sarde in saor,il celeberrimo fegato tenero e leggero,frittura di pesce e verdure di laguna con la salicornia. Buonissimi anche i dolci ,alcuni di antica origine locale d,non ultimo l'amaro veneziano. Il giudizio del gruppo classe ,mio personale e del Prof Orsi è ottimo. È raro trovare a Venezia luoghi così attenti alla tradizione e con menù molto interessante. Prof. Paleari Milano,Liceo Berchet.

We were party of 5 and every dish we ordered was really tasty, big and, most importantly, authentic and not adjusted to tourists’ tastes. Fried baby calamari was absolutely fantastic. And most of all, the staff was amazing - very welcoming, cheerful and helpful. Would come back just for them, but it helps that the food is delicious!

First time in Venice and this has been quite a pleasant experience. We arrived to our hotel late in the evening with very little hope to get proper food. To our surprise this cosy restaurant was not fully booked and welcomed 3 hungry tourists with proper Italian hospitality. Would recommend scallops as a starter and traditional tiramisu for dessert. Pay attention to the interior which has a lot of interesting details. Our waiter was a lovely lady, unfortunately I didn’t ask for her name, but she made our visit very special. Overall 5 stars experience

Questo è un piccolo ristorantino in campo S. Barnaba, con tavoli anche sulla piazzetta. L'accoglienza è professionalmente familiare. L'interno è curato e accogliente, noi abbiamo scelto un tavolo all'esterno per godere della visuale sul campo. Le portate sono particolari e ben presentate con una strizzata d'occhio alla tradizione veneziana. Ottime le moeche annaffiate da un buon Franciacorta. Bravi fioi.a presto.

This was just average. I do not need huge portions but these were small. The side of beans and onions tasted like a can of black beans, olive oil and some sliced red onions, you have to be more than just that. The wine pours were also small compared to everywhere else we have been. I ate at a far superior restaurant last night and actually paid less for our final bill and I had dessert x2 and coffee at the other restaurant. Again the service was nice but the food is nothing special. I would pass on this place, there are too many others to choose from.

Wir sind wegen den guten Bewertungen hin, waren aber nicht wirklich begeistert.

Sehr viele Fakebewertungen, wie viele Lokale in Venedig neuerdings. Achtet darauf, wenn in kürzester Zeit sehr viele positive Bewertungen gegeben wurden, dann sind sie höchstwahrscheinlich fake. Es bewerten auch viele ausländische Konten, die nur eine einzige Bewertung gegeben haben, vermutlich Bots.

Prenotato online (direi tra ottobre e novembre) per la sera del 31/12, ricevuta conferma di prenotazione, e telefonato poi per ulteriore conferma.
Il 22/12 mi arriva la mail di cancellazione della prenotazione. Ri-prenoto online, mi arriva la mail di conferma.
Il 23/12 chiamo per controllare e non solo la prenotazione precedente cancellata "perché non c'è posto", ma quella nuova neanche l'hanno considerata.
E allora a che serve prenotare?!
Non vi interessa, probabilmente, ma avete perso un cliente.
