Lovely stay at Sunflower Hostel, great vibes, lovely staff, great location and very good breakfast and spacious dorm rooms with their own toilets.

Very nice, old-school hostel.
Lovely staff, very fairly-priced drinks, nice lobby/bar space to socialise. Location is incredible, so close to Warschauer Straße and yet incredibly quiet. Was in a private room on the ground floor and slept like a baby - will definitely be back!

Alles war bestens, was man in einem Hostel erwarten kann. Insbesondere Sauberkeit und Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter.

Rooms were very nice and modern beds were comfortable and staff were very friendly. Close to all important things in the area

Є кухня, але на ній не вистачає тарілок, а глибоких тарілок немає взагалі. Також хотілося б щоб частіше змінювали губку для миття посуду.
Вигляд номерів можна було б зробити більш сучасним, пофарбувавши стіни у світлий колір. Так було б набагато краще, враховуючи що на темних стінах вже є подряпини і затишність це не додає.

Schönes süßes Hostel in guter Lage.
Es ist alles direkt erreichbar.
Doch empfand ich es nachts sehr laut & unruhig aber das ist sicher in jedem Hostel so..

I had room 109, the room was fairly big and had lockers to put your stuff away. You should Bring a little lock.
The bathroom and showers were pretty clean. The mattress could be better but everything else made up for it. There was room to sit down and meet other People, the staff was also really Nice and could give good recommendations. Location is great to go out and not far from the train station to go see the rest of Berlin. Would love to come back here.

Ich war mit meiner besten Freundin in einem 2er Zimmer mit Bad und schon beim Einchecken wurden wir total freundlich begrüßt und wir haben alles gut erklärt bekommen, wie das mit den Zimmer Karten funktioniert, wie wir zu unserem Zimmer kommen und wie das mit der Bettwäsche abläuft usw.
Ich fand es auch total gut, dass immer jemand an der Rezeption ist.
Auch beim Auschecken am Ende lief alles unkompliziert ab und hat gut funktioniert.

The hostel have everything you need for a comfortable sleep night. Very organized and great atmosphere. It is close to the city center and easy to reach out to pubs, bars and nice city attractions only by walk.

A really nice hostel to visit while in Berlin. It is very easy to travel around the city from the hostel because it has lots of public transport links near by. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and roomy. They provided us with big chests under the beads so we could store our suitcases and bags. The only things I would say is the beds are really creaky and squeak quite loudly when you move and there isn’t many community events to meet other people from the hostel.

The only problem is that the beds make a lot of noise, creaking with the slightest movement. The staff's attitude and the hostel's location were flawless.

Situé relativement en périphérie (mais à mois de 15min à pied de la East Side Gallery, un peu plus de 5min à pied d'une station de métro et pour les fêtards.. même pas 5min de la fameuse boîte techno de Berlin : Le Berghain). Il y a également un Aldi juste à côté.
On a pris une chambre pour 2 avec salle de bain privé pour une cinquantaine d'euros la nuit, donc plutôt bon marché, la literie est plutôt confortable et les rideaux bien occultant. La cuisine partagé et pas trop mal équipé (il manque juste un micro-ondes).
Le personnel est très sympa et parle très bien anglais.

Really no idea how to rate this hostel.
On one hand... beds are cheap, location is reasonably convenient, and I made some great friends here.
On the other hand... it is chaotically run, the toilets/bathrooms are really quite bleak/usually dirty, and in the few days I was here there were 3 phones and a wallet stolen in separate incidents (that's just the ones I heard about too) - and each time a theft was reported, the staff pretty much shrugged their shoulders.
In the end I give it 3 stars based on my personal experience... but I guess visit with care, and protect your valuables!

Bei einem Doppelzimmer mit Bad ist leider keine Toilette dabei, nur eine Dusche. Die Toiletten auf der Etage waren leider kaum nutzbar, spuren von Stuhlgang und erbrochenem etc.
Die Betten müssen selbst be- und abgezogen werden.
An sich war es leider auch an einem Wochentag sehr laut, vor dem Hostel wurden offen Drogen konsumiert - war für eine Nacht OK.

Ostello molto bello e personale gentile e disponibile, la zona è carina a piedi si raggiungono molti locali (Berghain, Astra Kulturhaus) o ristoranti ed è ben servita.

It was a very nice stay. We were there for a concert and the proximity to the location was perfect. The place was very nice, the breakfast was plentiful and the staff were friendly and professional. I highly recommend it.

Decent hostel for the price; a good location; lovely staff and nice communal area. We stayed in a four bed dorm and I will say the hostel tends to attract some odd characters due to its location (next to Berghain) but that should be expected when booking. The showers are a plus - much better than your average hostel. Sunflower is also next to Warschauer Straße station which is so useful as it has good links to the airport and the rest of the city! And Friedrichshain is an awesome neighbourhood if you’re into urban art and vibrant bars.

Ostello per giovani viaggiatori a basso costo in una zona di Berlino non centrale, ma con locali e discoteche a portata di mano. Non ci sono le lenzuola, gli asciugamani, il sapone/shampoo, e la colazione (scarsetta) è a pagamento. Non di meno l'edificio è piacevole, trasuda storia della guerra fredda, e la camera è confortevole. Da tenere in considerazione per un lungo weekend a Berlino. Fermata della S e della U ad un tiro di schioppo. Il muro con i famosi "murales" è a 10' a piedi.

Die Badezimmer auf den Fluren sind nur mit einfachen Glastüren (Spalt zum Boden) ausgestattet und statt Papierspendern oder Handtüchern kam man auf die glorreiche Idee, NUR super laute Handtrockner zu installieren, die man natürlich durch die undichten Bade- und Zimmertüren so laut hört, dass man davon nachts wach wird, weil sie durchgehend benutzt werden. Auf meine Bitte nach Ohrstöpseln habe ich diese an der Rezeption bekommen, die Nacht war aber trotzdem sehr kurz. WLAN ist echt langsam. Einen Stern gibt es, weil es unerwarteterweise eine Dusche im Zimmer gibt.

I stayed 10 days and I wanted to stay another 7. Their rules say that you are not allowed to stay more than 7 days and that is why I was not allowed to stay longer. Moreover, the manager expressing himself after 30 seconds of conversation "I don't care about your situation! I just do my job".
You rarely see something like this. He has an attitude as if he invented the hole in the macaroni.
Otherwise, part of the staff was super ok and friendly!
