ROYAL LUXURY CAMP

A friend offered me a ride on a camel and then spent a night in the Merzouga Erg Chebbi dunes. This sounds perfect and such a great exotic adventure to me. So arriving to Merzouga for Hafid to pick me up and transfer us to the Royal Luxury Camp, his property founded 7 years ago, such a miraculous perle in the middle of the desert. That was a great beginning as driving through the Sahara dunes was very exciting. Then arriving to the Camp was a tremendous surprise, because of the extremely friendly staff who accommodated me in a superb premium tent with A/C, bathroom, toilet and comfy bed. All was neat and clean, such a luxury in the desert. I was so excited to see a live free camel and to ride it to the dunes to see the dusk which is the scenario the camp is following and I am so much glad I had this exquisite experience. We arrived back on dinner time and were served such a delicious desert lamb barbecue. At the fireplace in the middle of the camp I could meet other guests and share our experience. We also shared coffee together when waiting to the Sunrise on the top of the hill behind the tents. All traditional Marrocan breakfast was tasty and delicious too. I also wanted to do the sand boarding with provided gear. It was an awesome unique sand ride. After a delicious kufta tajine for lunch some rest needed before my trail to the top of the dunes. I saw a dusk on the highest peak and then the full Moon rise on my way back to the camp, what an extraordinary experience I have never had in my life before. Not to forget about clear sky view full of stars. You do not know what a fairytale you miss if you have not come to this glamping paradise.

Our 3-night stay at Royal Luxury Camp was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in a world of luxury and adventure.

Hafid, our gracious host, truly made our experience unforgettable. His warmth and hospitality added a personal touch to the entire stay. The whole staff team including were so attentive and caring, making us feel like family. The range of services provided was beyond amazing—truly a testament to the commitment to guest satisfaction.

The variety of tours offered allowed us to explore the rich culture of nomad villages and Berbers, wander through the vibrant local market, and indulge in thrilling activities like camel sunset experiences, sandboarding, and ATV rides. Each excursion was a unique adventure in itself. The camels were very well taken care of.

The culinary experience was a highlight. Breakfast served amidst the sand dunes with the sunrise as our backdrop was surreal. The dinners were also incredible and there was an abundance of food. We spent the nights by the fire, under the starry desert sky, and created memories that will last a lifetime.

Luxury in the heart of the Sahara is an understatement. The glamping experience exceeded all expectations—flushing toilets and hot showers in the midst of the desert felt like pure indulgence. Our tent was a masterpiece, providing comfort in the most enchanting setting.

Nestled amidst the breathtaking sand dunes, Royal Luxury Camp is, without a doubt, the best camp in the region. The attention to detail, coupled with the natural beauty of the surroundings, creates an oasis of serenity and luxury.
