Un oasis de tranquilidad en Tavira, con habitaciones en el antiguo cuartel.
Al edificio se accede por un camino de tierra en medio de campos de almendros. A continuación, encontrará un fuerte con imponentes muros rodeados de vegetación y una gran puerta de entrada. Toca el timbre, iremos y abriremos la puerta con una sonrisa, en francés. Es un verdadero oasis de calma. Las habitaciones se instalan en los antiguos cuarteles, polvorines y establos del fuerte, en un espíritu ecológico, utilizando soluciones tradicionales para protegerse del calor.

It’s a beautiful spot. Gorgeous views from the terrace and a lovely pool. Unfortunately Rita was quite rude. There is no food available there apart from breakfast which is adequate.I had been travelling all day and was chastised for consuming cheese and biscuits on the terrace at 9 pm because apparently it is forbidden on the historic flagstones…..The same flagstones that cope with the adequate breakfast. Room small with no windows so I kept the door open all night. There is a fan but it was pretty claustrophobic. 15 minute walk into a very touristy spot for dinner with a lot of average and a couple of good restaurants. Ferry ride to the beach is included ..nice spot for a swim with a good cafe.

Do not believe what you see in the pictures. The actual Fort is nothing like it. They market it as this secluded, private property away from the hustle and bustle of Tavira. It is not. To the right of the Fort is a massive apartment complex a stone throw away and more being built. In the lagoon there are loud boats and jetskis constantly going up and down. Their marketing is a lie. Last but definitely not least,Rita is outright rude and she doesn't care about getting new business apparently because she can't even be bothered to say goodbye to potential clients wanting to hire out the whole venue for 7 nights. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!

Nós fomos ver este localização porque a minha irmã vai casar por ano. Nós chegamos na hora de marcação, as 14h. Fui a noiva, noivo, mãe de noiva, eu (irmã) e os meus filhos. Tivemos ir de Boliqueime até Tavira mas porque eles gostaram muito, fomos na boa!
Chegamos as 13h50 e a senhora Rita abriu o portão. Ela olha para nós, e perguntou a minha irmã “vocês todos?” A minha irmã respondeu sim e a minha família. A Rita deixou nós entrar mas não estava contente! Eu até perguntei a ela o que era o problema é ela disse não há problema mas tenho aqui uma noiva que vai casar no próximo semana e os meninos ten que ser quieta!
Depois ela explicou as zonas de ceremonia, cocktails etc.
Ela mandou nós a ver sozinhos, e quando nós fomos embora a senhora Rita estava na escritório a fumar, nem falou com nós.
fomos maltratados e não teremos o casamento de 200 pessoas lá. Antipaticos e pouco profissional.
Eu tenho duas salões cabeleireiro aqui no Algarve e nunca mas numa vai recomendar este sítio!!!!

I don't even know where to start. I made an appointment months ago to come & view the venue for my wedding. I flew in from London with my fiance to meet my mother who flew in from Zimbabwe to go and see it. We were received by Rita who was extremely rude from the start and asked me if my 'guests' were also coming in (there were 4 of us). She didn't show us around and treated us with total disinterest. We viewed the grounds on our own and were never shown the inside (bedrooms). We were sent on our way with a nod and wave whilst she was on the phone smoking a cigarette. She didn't ask us if we liked it,if we hated it or if we'd like to see inside or if we have any questions.
So I'll definitely not be having my wedding of 200 guests here.
Rita was very rude, hostile and extremely unenthusiastic.

The manager Rita, was impolite and ill-manared... She was rude to us, our guests and specially to our catering and support staff for por wedding day. She was extremely obstructive throughout the day... Almost lost for a second time our catering company, 1 hour before getting married there...not happy enough she then got drunk and shouted at our catering staff during the night... Ruined a day that was suppose to be special and magical!
The same manager disregarded a health & safety hazard when plaster fell of the wall on top of a child's bed which could have caused serious harm! Thankfully it didn't ! Rita only acted when challenged, saying "it was not a big deal"... Photo attached... Make your own judgment! I have not even received an apology! Uterly incompetent and unprofessional, on what could have been a very serious mater.
Embarrassed me in front at guests at breakfast for two small bottles of sparkling water not being part of the breakfast... When this would be naturally something we could settle after...
Poor, very poor! The place is beautiful and deserves a manager who respects the guests and people who wishes to have a special event there!
I could go on and on with other things... Smoking in front of children... scrutinising what you are eating at breakfast... Etc... But unfortunately already took too much energy of me and others in what was suppose to be a special day!
