It's always nice to come back! A place where you can feel at home and sleep like a baby, but also party like there's no tomorrow. Definitely THE place to stay if you visit Amsterdam.

Big thanks to the staff for all the kindness and help =) and a big shout-out to Alex, mate, you rock!

I stayed at the Flying Pig Uptown for one night and i had a great time! The rooms and bathrooms were clean, there is a kitchen and a bar, with smoking area. The night i went, Matthieu (he works there) organized a karaoke night and got even the shy people to sing songs. Also, shout-out to the Dutch bartender, nothing like singing Het is een nacht together.

If you're looking for a hostel with all the basics plus where it is easy to meet people, this is the hostel for you. In my opinion the best hostel in Amsterdam for this.

Superbe auberge chaleureuse et très bien située! Elle est juste à côté du rijksmuseum, et elle n’est pas très loin du centre d’Amsterdam.
J’y ai passé un très bon séjour grâce aux autres voyageurs, mais aussi grâce au staff très accueillant et aux activités organisées tous les soirs (surtout le karaoké organisé par Mathieu ????)

Uno de lo mejor hostel visto. Habitaciónes.. baños.. barra ...todo muy limpio... Los chicos que trabajan...son todos jóvenes.. y simpáticos.. de grande ayuda fue Carlos.. el chico de madrid.. muy simpático..y disponible! Buenissima experiencia

Auberge de jeunesse au top ????
L'équipe est super nice, c'est juste à côté des musées et bon, même s'il a plu tout le long et qu'on a loupé le musée Van Gogh qui était complet tout le weekend, on aura passé une super soirée karaoké au flying pig qui nous aura sûrement sauvé le séjour ????

Sehr dreckiges, kaltes und schimmerndes Hotel.
So viele Treppen aber kein Aufzug.
Wir waren ca 10min im Hotel & sind auch direkt wieder weg.
Es stinkt dort echt sehr & ist absolut unhygienisch.

Geld haben wir natürlich nicht wieder bekommen…

One employee ruin my stay the last day, I had a perfect stay for 6 days. Then the employee thinks I will steal my own phone. I needed to go thru alot of mental stress to get my own phone back. It can be good if the right employee is at work.

A comfortable, relaxing hostel with some fun. There were a lot of aspects that I loved about the hostel:
1. Very comfortable beds for a hostel
2. Common room is well set up with a bar, smoke room, pool table, and a hangout area for everyone else
3. Staff were helpful with any requests
4. Lockers for a fee are available to store your luggages
5. Location is very good, where it's quiet with all the museums and Albert Cuyp market close by, but at the same time, not too far away from the crazy parts of Amsterdam

The one reason I'm taking off one star is because I was disappointed in their group activity or lack thereof:
1. No pub crawl
2. No walking tour
The only activity going on was beer pong. Without activities, it's harder for solo travelers to socialize with everyone else.

Overall, I was pleased with my stay, but if you are looking for a hostel that organizes group outings, I would recommend looking into other hostels.

Met some fantastic people and the staff are great. I only just got home and I am missing the Flying Pig Uptown and the people there already!

Buen lugar para viajeros solitarios que buscan convivir. El único problema es que tiene bastantes escaleras, considera si llevas maletas con ruedas. Todo lo demás perfecto, regresaria

I couldn't check in because my ID expired but at least i had to explain 3 times that i don't have a Dutch ID despite living in the Netherlands for a long time.
At least they are more selective in who they let in than coffeeshops in case i wanted to rob someone while hiding my identity with a forged worn out passport.

Stato 3 gg ad Amsterdam ad ottobre , tutto programmato last minute , nelle camere condivise ce anche un cassetto con lucchetto. Camere con apertura magnetica con la tessera .

The best hostel in Europe. It's a place where you feel at home upon arrival. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Always keen for a chat. The bar is open until late with some of the cheapest drinks in amsterdam and great happy hour deals. Depending on your room, there could be alot of stairs to climb. But they become easier the longer you stay. This hostel is a must for anyone travelling on a budget and looking for a venue which has a buzz and people around to chat with. I will definitely be coming back to stay in future. The wifi is good, the beds have free lockers and power points. Don't forget to book directly on the st Christopher's website for the cheapest rates, discounts and a free welcome drink.

Fiquei hospedado por 3 noites neste albergue, não recomendo, fiquei em um quarto barulhento, a cama rangia muito, acabou a água quente no banheiro em duas noites tive que tomar banho gelado. O café da manhã horrível, café aguado, frutas cortadas de forma que se servem para animais aqui no Brasil, cortavam em pedaços pequenos que oxidava tudo!!

I can't love this place enough. Was awesome to return to find a familiar face still working there since I hadn't been back during convid lockdowns in Oz. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Amsterdam. Best run hostel in Europe ❤️ There is nothing you will need that they don't have.

I was there traveling with my friends and we had a great experience in the Christmas time, we got a warm welcome from Aavon and Gianni at the reception desk they gave us all the information about the hostel and some information about the area. Alexander also make our time in bar memorable. Definitely recommend staying there.

Everything about this hostel is amazing. Great location, kitchen is well equipped, the rooms are fine and the staff is great. The smoking room makes the whole experience even better. 10/10

Great experience, this was my first hostel experience and it was clean, staff was friendly, showers were nice, no bed bugs, and the bar area was a lot of fun. Also within walking distance of a lot of stuff, which was really nice.

j'ai séjourné un week end avec mon mari et ma fille avec son copain, nous avons pris une chambre plus confortable et ma fille une chambre avec d'autres jeunes, l'auberge est très propre , un accueil parfait et une bonne ambiance très bon pub aussi pour boire une bière ou des cocktails, le petit déjeuner et compris dans le prix, le plus c'est que l'auberge est très bien située pour les visites. je recommande plus cette auberge pour les jeunes.
