Hotel is nice but the restaurant very substandard. The breakfast is probably the worst I have ever experienced in sixty years of travelling. Every item was cold at 08:15 ( not chilled but not warm or hot) Fried eggs were slopped into a tray and were not even tepid and the boiled eggs were very, very hard boiled and completely cold. The toast was warm! The orange juice was unrecognisable as being orange juice. It is without doubt the laziest attempt as serving many guest I have experienced- I think the owners should sneak down and try it!

Stayed here as part of a Saga holiday package. Location was terrific, just outside Dubrovnik but with a water ferry into the old city and to Cavtat. The buffet meals were generally very good always good salad options but desserts were very similar each night. Everywhere was very clean. The rooms had a side view with a balcony and ensuite but were small compared to most hotel rooms. Staff very helpful and friendly. Swimming pool was freezing cold. Lovely walks straight out of the hotel grounds. Massage in spa good value. ????

The hotel is good value; you definitely get what you pay for and nothing beyond that ???????????? the first thing that struck me was how much the hotel is engulfed by cigarette smoke. The whole of reception / the lobby stinks of smoke all day long and I can’t even get away from it in my room as other guests smoke on their balcony which comes into my balcony and room. You’re eating dinner and the people next to you, behind you and round the corner are smoking lol

The hotel (and the whole of Dubrovnik) is expensive. I’m assuming due to the transition into Euros, which seems to be about 30% more expensive.

The staff seem friendly enough, as do a proportion of the guests.

There’s no supermarket nearby and the tiny shop near the pool sells water (1.5L) for €2.40 which to be frank is extortionate but when you have no other option, it’s goto be done.

The rooms (in the Annex) are tiny and packed with furniture. There’s a fridge and a kettle, a safe and towels. The pillows are gigantic so I’ll need to see an Osteopath to fix my neck when I get home. Housekeeping come daily and are very nice. The aircon can only be turned on or off but you have no control over the temperature. The shower has decent pressure and gets as hot as I like it. Oh and the beds are tiny (we have a “twin” room) …so very tiny.

Also need to add that we arrived one hour before check and told our room wasn’t ready. Fair enough. We went and had lunch in their pool restaurant and returned 30mins after check in to be told our room still wasn’t ready. After some faffing about, we were finally given a key and taken to our room in the golf buggy. This is probably the least accommodating hotel I’ve been in that I can remember and I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t want us hanging around in the room 30mins after check out.

The water here (in the pool and sea) is too cold for me in October but you have to pay for sunbeds on the hotel beach (make that make sense - something like €6 for an umbrella and €10 for the bed) but get beds by the pool free.

So to reiterate, you get what you pay for, and not a smidge beyond that.

Lejos de todo, pero confortable, con plata y bufete muy repetitivo pero sabroso
