Con vistas a la playa de Pod Kalafota, la taberna del pescador cuenta con una magnífica terraza con vistas ininterrumpidas a la bahía.

Con vistas a la playa de Pod Kalafota, la terraza de la taberna goza de una vista impresionante de la bahía. No olvide reservar una mesa junto al agua. El comedor está repleto de fotos y objetos arqueológicos que recuerdan la historia de los pescadores de Komiža. En la cocina se puede preparar rillette de sardinas, sopa de langosta de la piscifactoría, pescado y verduras marinados en aceite de oliva y condimentos (alcaparras, laurel, romero) y luego a la parrilla, pulpo al estilo gulash de vino tinto, etc., pero los precios por peso de las especialidades marineras son elevados.

I arrived around 19:30 without reservation and alone. The kind waitress managed to get me a table before rush hour and I told her I wouldn't be longer than hour and a half.

Atmosphere is nice and romantic, by the sea. Try to reserve a table at least 2 days in advance if you want the best seat after 8pm.

The service was good. There were some mistakes but nothing too serious. I never had need for the main plate but it was on the table the whole time. Waitress didn't take it of or anything, I had to manage the table for myself. She was kind and informative though.

For the main course I ordered greater amberjack in caper sauce and it was good.

Tomato was also very sweet and Malvasia house wine was alright.

The bread was one of the best I tried in Komiža restaurants. It was fresh, hot and full of taste.

The prices were not excessive considering the Croatian prices in 2023.

I paid 45€ for:

Shrimp tail carpaccio
Greater amberjack in caper sauce
0.25l house Malvasia
Tomato salad
1 limomcello

I didn't check but they may have charged me the bread also.

All in all, I was satisfied and I will come back again.

Místo opravdu krásné a obsluha mimořádně přívětivá. Tím výčet pozitiv končí. Tato země se po přijetí eura dokonale zbláznila, ceny jsou astronomické. Měli jsme dvakrát rizoto, jedno točené pivo za 125 Kč, sklenku vína a povinně jsme si museli dát jakýsi předkrm za 3,50 eur (2x). Platili jsme 51.50 eur, tedy skoro 1.300. Rizota nebyla dobrá ani náhodou, rýže byla tvrdá a bylo cítít podravkou. Ne, ne a ještě jednou ne.
