Booked this hotel after reviews on Trip Advisor and if you’re like me - please LOOK NO FURTHER - this is the place to stay in Madrid. Travelled with my wife for a two week trip to Spain and our first stop was the Gran Hotel Inglés in Madrid. We arrived at 8am after flying all night and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We were offered drinks and quickly got checked in - our room was ready and we went straight up without any fuss. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The beds were great - no back pain for this traveller.

The concierge helped us arrange a private tour of the Palace (HIGHLY recommend if you are interested in the history of Spain and the Monarchy - our guide was incredible - Alfonso - whole experience took about 2 hours and was well worth the money), and a sunset dinner at Cornamusa - this was their recommendation and WOW - one of the best dining experiences of my life - HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The concierge service is seamless - they use WhatsApp and respond right away if you have a spur of the moment question. We went to Toledo and they sent us a long list of things to do and restaurant options in Toledo.

We had the breakfast option and each morning had our choice of a variety of eggs and a buffet that featured fruit, yogurt, cheeses, iberico ham, breads and pastries, and cereal. Very delicious and served with coffee and juice.

We would typically have a drink at their expansive bar before heading out at night.

Wi-Fi was great, showers were incredible, we had some laundry done and it came back ironed and so neat.

Check out was simple and they held our bags until we were ready to depart for the train station.

The hotel is in a great location - very close to the SOL and Anton Martin Metro Stations. From either you can get to the Atocha - although we walked most places given the great location of the hotel - everything is within a 30 minute walk. Easy access to restaurants, shopping and many of the sights you would want to see in Madrid.

While we both tried to be respectful of the language neither my wife or I can speak more than a few words of Spanish. This was not an issue at the Hotel (or frankly most places we visited in Madrid) as everyone spoke English very well. I don’t remember all of the names of the Employees or I would list them as they were all incredible.

Es una sola palabra lo describiría con un : SUBLIME , desde la limpieza de la habitaciones , los detalles de las habitaciones , la ropa de cama , las almohadas , las toallas , los ameneties , el trato profesional de su personal en todos los espacios , recepción, botones , cafetería , restaurante, bar , todo , todo absolutamente todo .
El desayuno del hotel es INCREÍBLE , me ha encantado . La próxima si me bolsillo me lo permite volveré a visitarles .

Hemos estado en el brunch y ha sido espectacular. Y sobretodo el trato tan bueno y al detalle de Ana, una persona encantadora. Recomendadisimo.

Fuimos a tomar el brunch un domingo. Todo ha sido espectacular, el servicio, la comida, las bebidas y el ambiente. Altamente recomendable, es para volver.

This hotel is so charming and its location in barrios de las letras is perfect for exploring the city. We loved everything about our stay, especially the amazing staff. Do not hesitate to book!

El brunch de fin de semana es espectacular! Incluye café y zumo a elegir, bollería, bandejas saladas (quesos, embutidos, gyozas, salmón, bacalao, encurtidos), plato principal y postre a elegir. Todo de calidad, bien presentado, y con música en directo en un ambiente lujoso y tranquilo. Tal vez la única pega sea que los sofás sean un poco incómodos para una comida larga, pero por lo demás todo perfecto, con cantidades suficientes.

Estuve hospedada en el hotel el pasado fin de semana. He de decir que me sorprendió muchísimo la calidad del servicio. Las habitaciones y las instalaciones en general son impecables, pero lo que más me gustó fue el trato de todo el personal del hotel. Toda persona con la que nos cruzamos tenía una sonrisa y una atención para mi y mi familia, nos hicieron sentir realmente en casa. Muchas felicidades a todo el staff por su profesionalismo y cercanía!

Unfortunately we couldn’t stay at the hotel this time around but we did have the chance to stop in and check out the reception and car area. while there we had the pleasure of meeting Prince who made the kids’ day. Thank you!

Ofrecen un hotel gran lujo y las habitaciones son equivalentes a un hotel mediocre de tres estrellas. Lo único de gran apariencia es la recepción y un trato muy correcto.

Excelente hotel, cuidado hasta el más mínimo detalle, el personal súper agradable.
La habitación impecable, el desayuno fantástico, música en el lobby, no se puede pedir más.
Gracias a todo el personal de recepción, concierge, f&b y housekeeping, y en especial a su director, Jordi Caralt, por todas sus atenciones.
Volveremos sin duda.
