Abierto en 1915 y declarado monumento histórico, este es el hotel de Platres aún en activo. Este es el título que hemos elegido recomendar. Porque si el servicio y la calidad de este antiguo palacio ya no están al gusto del día, apreciamos sobre todo el ambiente retro, la sorprendente decoración del salón con su pino que ha empujado a través de la moqueta y el techo. Sólo por eso, puedes tomar una copa. El restaurante no vale la pena. Una parte del hotel ha sido restaurada recientemente y todas las habitaciones disponen de wifi y televisión. Seis de ellas se han transformado en estudio con cocina. La dirección, consciente de las debilidades del establecimiento, propone frecuentes reducciones.

The best hot chocolate in Cyprus! Amazing service, people and the rooms were beautiful and clean. Definitely recommend it!

Rooms were clean and staff was friendly and doing everything day and night.
Breakfast was poor for the high price of the room.

Great place if you know what you're getting into. Expect it to be modest and humble. It's not posh or fancy. We got a nice room with a balcony and lovely view of the mountains. The bar downstairs is very cosy at night with the log fire going! We got expresso martinis and were very suprised to how nice they were. Would definitely visit again. However, dont expect nothing fancy!

Friendly staff, beautiful location, clean enough rooms and toilets, mediocre breakfast but definitely overpriced.

Parking can be tricky, It has a cozy fireplace in the lounge.

This is a lovely mountain hotel. Although basic it is perfectly dequate budget mountain escape. It has a lot of character and the shows the scars of time. I arrived at midnight but the staff stayed up late and helped me with directions to find the place. The beds were comfortable and bedsheets crisp and clean. I got up at 6am to the sounds of mountain birds, nightingales, I think. I set off early to go trekking in Troodos so missed out on enjoying its tranquil setting. I will be back...I hope!
