Overall, my experience at this resort was positive, but there was one incident that I feel compelled to mention. The resort itself is lovely, conveniently located near the Palisades, with good service overall. The staff assisted with our luggage promptly, valet parking was efficient, and the amenities like the swimming pool and hot tub were maintained at the perfect temperature. Additionally, the breakfast buffet offered a satisfying variety of options, including made-to-order omelets, and our dinner at Six Peaks was delicious and enjoyable.
However, I must deduct two stars from my rating due to an incident that occurred during our dining experience at Six Peaks. On Monday, February 19th, around 6:30 PM, my party of two was waiting to be seated. Another couple arrived and stood behind us in line. When the receptionist appeared, she warmly greeted the couple behind us first, despite us being next in line. When the couple politely indicated that we were ahead of them, it highlighted a lapse in the receptionist's attention to the order of guests waiting.
While some may perceive this as a minor oversight, I believe it's important to address. In service industries, particularly in roles like reception, attention to detail and fairness in serving guests according to the principle of first-come-first-serve are crucial. Every guest's experience should be equally valued, regardless of their race or ethnicity. As an Asian guest, I couldn't help but wonder if our ethnicity played a role in the oversight, especially considering that the couple who was greeted first was white.
For context, the receptionist I'm referring to is a young woman with a darker complexion who was conversing in Spanish with her coworker at the bar. While I acknowledge that everyone can make mistakes, especially in busy environments, it's important for such oversights to be addressed to ensure the best possible experience for all guests.

However, I must commend the valet parking team for their exceptional service. They were extremely helpful, welcoming, and warm, which brightened my day.
The first impression is impossible to repeat the second time. I would hope that the staff greet guests with a more positive attitude.
