Made a reservation directly with the property. We were required to pay for the room when making the reservation - not upon arrival. The prices are double what they were just a couple of years ago, but this place is special to us and we were excited to return. Unfortunately, our plans have changed. Now, no one will answer our calls or respond to our emails. We need to cancel our reservation - we are within the cancellation period - but cannot reach anyone. In fact, J Collections tells us that (although the property is still in their group) they no longer manage the reservations. They also tell us that the phone number and email listed on our confirmation email are both incorrect. So we seem to have no chance at getting a refund.
We are heartbroken. This was once our favorite spot in the city and we have enjoyed many nights here over several years. It is such a shame to see it in such poor hands. Hoping to return here has been a very costly mistake.
