Esta buena dirección ofrece "cocina de mercado" en el corazón de un auténtico mercado siciliano, el de Ballaro. Tanto más cuanto que el distrito no abunda en buenas mesas, demasiado estrechas y laberínticas. Aquí, los productos son más frescos que la naturaleza, sicilianos, del circuito de comida lenta. Pero las recetas de las abuelas se han modernizado. Una gran variedad de vegetarianos, celíacos, bebés y niños (juegos en el sitio). Laostería también es enoteca, entre muros y columnas del siglo XV, el escenario es magnífico, y la gama de vinos es muy amplia.

We had a lovely meal here but I did struggle a little with the menu, personally. As a meat eater, I had to go vegetarian, I know, shock horror ???? (joke) but yes I was struggling to find something that inspired me to eat.
But I would say it was a very refined seafood/fish heavy osteria. I did hear another table get offered a panzenella salad which would have been nice to see offered on the menu….????????♀️
I enjoyed my vegetarian shell pasta, the Balaro street food was very delicate & not left feeling “over fried”, my partner’s meat platter dish looked good but I think lacked finessed vs. the “theme” of the osteria. Bit flavour trumps that to be honest.
Anyway! All in all, good food, beautiful location, lovely staff, great wine advice - spot on for what we wanted there.

Nice place with high (to high?) ambitions. They would benefit from cutting the amount of dishes on the menu. Well cocked food and a good selection of wines. The staff mixed up our orders so that we had to wait a little longer but they solved it nicely.

Bella struttura ma non ho trovato il menu'
convicente, ho avuto difficoltà a scegliere cosa mangiare e quello che ho ordinato non mi ha convinto.
