BUNYONYI OVERLAND RESORT

Nice place. We got a good deal on our stay. The normal price is too expensive for us. The young man at reception was very helpful during our stay. The bar staff were a bit uninterested. We were camping and the areas for camping were excellent and the showers and toilets were good. The showers were very hot (be careful). The bar ran out of Nile beer but only 24 hours. Thank goodness. The place is very steep. It's not for the infirm. We stayed 4 nights but as I say we got a great deal. We'd not even stay at full camping prices. It's crazy. If you are in a big truck do not drive to reception go straight to the second gate. It's a great campsite but be warned the overland buses stop here so there's sometimes a lot of "overlanders". There was a lot of noise from an adjacent place on our last night but this is Africa. The noise ended at 9am so not too late. ????????
We would absolutely stay again if we could get a great price again. It's a fine campsite. Be prepared for steep ! Flat places are there to be sure. WiFi is good as is mobile MTN. It's well run, well equipped and I have no complaints at all, only comments. Worth a stay for sure. The tents/rooms looked great with great views. You might even meet George Michael....ask at reception if he's there. ????

I stayed at this hotel with friends in May, 2015. It is like fairy tales hotel from another world, in a rather rural Uganda and Congo (DRC) border. The rooms are made of wooden materials and local granite stones. The design and details have great taste. Food is incredible. The hotel is on a hill. Right in front of the hotel is a large and one of the deepest reservoir (lake) in Uganda. I still remember the enjoyment I had at that place.

Worth a visit.
